Look, I get it—on a purely intellectual level, we all know our anxieties are irrational. But when the panic hits, why can't the brain just tap into that logic? It’s like the rational part of my mind is watching a movie of my fear, but it can't reach out and stop the projector. If my conscious self understands the truth, yet my biology keeps spinning out, then who exactly is pulling the strings here? Is it the brain, or am I something else entirely?

I’ve been an anxious person for as long as I can remember, though I don't usually dwell on it consciously. It’s more of a sudden realization—like, "Oh, wow, my entire body is clenched tight." That’s why I rely on anti-anxiety meds. Honestly, I wish we could just prescribe irony as a primary treatment for anxiety, haha. Imagine if there were actual workshops dedicated to mastering the art of being ironic; that would be incredible! I’ve even noticed that my anxiety often kicks in for absolutely no reason at all, yet my brain insists on spinning its wheels anyway...

shadowbear9, redranger2 — thanks for the input. It really is a case-by-case situation. I’ve got two completely opposite perspectives here, which is actually somewhat encouraging: either this won't do anything at all, or it’ll work wonders. I haven't come across anyone mentioning that their productivity tanked just because they were sleeping more, which is my main hang-up since I have a job to get through. My real worry is that I'll end up feeling like some manic cartoon rabbit, just bouncing off the walls and trying to tackle a hundred things at once.

Hey everyone! For those of you who rely on Alice: what’s your actual experience been like? From what I’ve gathered through the grapevine, the results are all over the map—some people don't feel a thing, others swear they put on weight, and then there are those who deal with dizzy spells that make it impossible to get used to the routine. On average, how much of the stuff are you guys taking? Thanks for sharing.
