Psychotropic medication discussion thread

I personally know quite a few people who have managed to steer clear of taking their prescribed medications entirely. It’s funny how that works, isn't it? And, if I may digress for a moment—people struggling with anxiety or even depressive episodes often deal with these subtle breathing irregularities without ever actually realizing it. They just feel off, you know? Of course, those breathing issues trigger a whole cascade of other physical side effects, which then leads these individuals to become absolutely convinced they're suffering from some catastrophic, life-threatening illness. In most cases, though, these are perfectly treatable conditions.
