I’m currently on Valdoxan, but I honestly don't feel any better at all. My therapist is just baffled because nothing seems to be working after 14 months of trying, and even she’s running out of ideas for me...
I feel completely hopeless, like I'm right on the edge, and I just don't know where to turn or who to talk to anymore.
Sorry if this isn't quite the right place for this...
Hey everyone, has anyone here actually tried Valdonax?

Is it possible that it could take three or even four months to really kick in?
You really need to stay on it consistently for about 6 to 8 weeks. If you still aren't feeling better by then, that's when you talk to your doctor about switching medications...

Just started taking it today...
Michael Hill2 said:I haven't personally messed with Cymbalta, nor have I done a deep dive into it, but there are plenty of American forums where people vent about their experiences. You should probably check out 🙂
Just from a quick glance, both Cymblata and Velafax fall under that SNRI category, which basically means they're reuptake inhibitors. You might run into some sleep issues early on, which is likely why she put you on the Seroquel 😉

I was on Cymbalta once, but the nausea and vomiting were just brutal. Now I've switched over to Effexor
fadedbear92 said:Actually, it's probably not the dehydration from that, but from the Seroquel. I used to take the real deal—Lamictal—which is a mood stabilizer, so that's why you feel "normal" instead of being hyper or hypo.
Now, instead, I'm on Klonopin.
From what I can tell, LeBron James doesn't typically cause frequent urination or dehydration.🤔
How much Rivotril are you taking, Rej?
Don't split the capsule. I ended up back in a depressive episode after taking just 10mg following my first dose
restlesstiger102 said:I don't think that's quite right, though—could you please elaborate? I haven't really relied on ADHD medication much; I've mostly just used Oxazepam or Xanax on my own every now and then when I simply couldn't get to sleep.
Now, my doctor has prescribed me Mirtazapine and Zoloft.
I have been struggling for quite some time already, but this is a completely different sensation altogether. I spend half the day sleeping, I feel entirely slowed down, and there is this overwhelming sense of sadness and melancholy where nothing seems to hold any meaning anymore.
It feels like being in a total coma...
When you first start taking an AD, things can actually get a little worse before they get better... but it does pass...
It’ll pass, just hang in there...
It’s going to feel pretty rough when you first start taking the Xanax, but it does get better...
Kate James21 said:Sure, I’d be more than happy to scale back my dosage too, but I honestly don't see how anyone is supposed to manage that with these capsules. The instructions are crystal clear about needing to swallow them whole, without exception. It’s painfully obvious that our healthcare system is failing us...
There’s actually a tablet version available called Valerie. The starting dose is usually 37.5mg.
Benjamin Robinson3 said:A year ago, I was taking Seroquel, and when combined with Fevarin, it knocked me right out. Since I’m not in the hospital anymore, I can't get my hands on Seroquel, so my doctor prescribed Quetiapine instead, claiming they're basically the same thing. But honestly, they are night and day—Quetiapine actually keeps me wide awake, so it hasn't helped my sleep at all. Now she's suggested I take it at 7 PM to try and catch that euphoric feeling before bed.
Does Prazine overlap with my other meds? I used it for sleep back when I was hospitalized, but I'm not sure if it'll be covered by my insurance now.
I have to pay out of pocket for Prozac$10 even though my primary care physician told me there shouldn't be any overlap issues.
The absolute best sleep aid I've ever used was Normabel-Misar, but man, the dependency is brutal...
I used to get Seroquel without any issues. I'm not sure why you're having trouble getting it. Prazosin works fine for sleeping, too.
Michael Hill2 said:Thanks Zvonx, Kyle Sanchez88, and Rejica for giving me a little boost of optimism here. 🙂
Even if my doctor's rough estimate of a year before tapering me off feels ages away, the thought of actually stopping scares me. After years of total chaos, endless testing, and constant anxiety, I finally have some peace and quiet in my head. I'm not letting anyone take that away from me. 😁
they'll pull the pills, but you'll be even stronger
Nathan Robinson8 said:I guess I hope tomorrow feels a bit more breathable.
Me too. This weather is just making everything worse...
Michael Hill2 said:That’s exactly what I wanted to talk to someone about. For instance, I’m on Fevarin right now and it’s been great—it pretty much wiped out my anxiety completely. I feel awesome.
My doctor wants to taper me off after a year, and I'm wondering: am I going to slide back into my old ways, or will this positive shift actually stick to some degree?
Btw, I’m starting psychotherapy too. 😉
The positive stuff should stay with you. For me, things didn't revert until ten years after I stopped... Good luck! :-)🎉
Kevin Bailey2 said:How often have you guys swapped out psych meds? How many different types have you cycled through in your life? Also, what are you on right now, which one actually worked best for you, and how long have you been sticking with it?
Zoloft was definitely my best bet. Right now, I'm just starting out on Lexapro and Remeron...
I totally forgot to take my 5mg Zyprexa last night.
Hey everyone...
