It seems Taika is just continuing to mess around with the whole Thor legacy, right after that "revolution" called Thor III that pretty much trashed everything we actually liked about the first two movies. But I guess cheap jokes and strong characters sell everywhere.

Hela broke Mjolnir, which means the hammer lost Odin's enchantment—the part that ensures anyone worthy can wield the full power of Thor, the God of Thunder. So you're right, any random person could pick it up now because the magic is gone.

Anyway, this is the first MCU film that reminds me painfully of that disaster *What If...?*. I really hope I'm wrong.
