Drew Reed2 said:So, I actually went through with getting veneers on my upper teeth. It involved some shaving down the enamel before they bonded them on. Why did I do it? Well, I even had one tooth extracted to make everything look perfect. Isn't it funny how far you'll go for a smile?

I actually did all of that more than six months ago, so it wouldn't change my HIV test results anyway—plus, I’m not feeling any symptoms at all. I think I just imagined things because of that black stuff coming from my nose, but it turned out to be nothing more than makeup. Are you bringing this up because of that, or is there something else on your mind?

It’s possible for a tooth root to push through the bone right into your facial sinuses, which can cause everything to flare up the moment your immune system takes a hit. I was also wondering about those implants—they seem to come in all sorts of different colors, don't they? Plus, there's always that risk of a sinus opening occurring after an extraction. Just thinking out loud here; maybe you'll find some info to help clear things up?

Did you happen to get any work done on your upper teeth, like implants or something similar?
If your CMV IgM comes back positive, it means the infection is active right now. That’s why you really need to keep an eye on your liver levels—check those ALT, AST, and GGT numbers. No point in being a 🙂, just take it easy and stick to a liver-friendly diet.

Welcome to the club. Is it even possible for people to do this to themselves? 😵
I'm glad I'm not just imagining things, especially since it's clearly happening to you too.

Which CMV came back positive? Was it the IgG or the IgM? If it's just the IgG, that's usually considered fine—just something you've already cleared. I'm not quite sure about the Parovirus, though; that one can be tricky...

It’s definitely possible. Even if you just get a minor cut while cooking, your temperature can spike from the shock, so if there's already some mild inflammation in the CNS, it's bound to feel even more intense.
Keep pushing for those ANA tests to see if there's an underlying autoimmune issue alongside the infectious stuff.
Drew Reed2 said:Does anyone know if it’s possible to run a 98.6°F fever from stress? It feels like my temperature spikes during a stress attack, and then if I check it two hours later, it just drops back down on its own. Thanks in advance!
A despairer 🙏

Not only is it possible, but that's exactly what happens when things settle down—I experience the same thing myself.
That said, even with stress in the mix, there could be an underlying hormonal issue or a low-grade inflammatory condition that isn't showing up as a major fever, causing those adrenaline surges and temperature shifts.
I feel like half my test results are missing from the portal; sometimes they're just late, and other times they don't show up at all.
I’m getting my medications on schedule and everything, and it looks like health coverage kicks in within 30 days of signing off with Social Security, but you know how it goes with anxiety and all that anticipation. Plus, my employer is just dragging their feet, delaying everything and providing what I need late and at the worst possible times.
Am I still covered by health insurance if I don't do anything within that 30-day window after being laid off by the Social Security Administration?
I mean, can I still show up for my scheduled appointments and everything? I'm just waiting on the paperwork to get it all sorted out... but man, things are moving so slowly.

Michael Hill2 said:Faverin is solid for sleep because it acts as an anxiolytic, even though it's technically an SSRI just like Zoloft or Prozac. It has this mild sedative effect, so most people take it at night before hitting the hay.

I was prescribed it for anxiety and insomnia. For the first few months, I was also taking a tiny dose of Mirzaten—which works as a histamine blocker at low doses, helping you pass out—but now I'm just on Faverin, maybe taking a 1/6th dose of Mirzaten once a week if I really need to sleep.

Faverin is a great option for anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and insomnia. It actually managed to quiet down my hyperactive brain and make it somewhat tolerable. 😁

Thanks! My brain is definitely a bit of a circus too... haha. I'm currently switching out my primary care doctor, so I haven't done much yet besides deciding I'm done with Zoloft. On me, Zoloft makes my muscles feel stiff and shaky when I exert myself—I end up stepping off the bus looking like a newborn deer! I actually quit Cipralex pretty quickly because of that, and now I'm worried all SSRIs might act the same way...

Thanks, I'll look into this and follow up if I have questions. $33 Is the prescription covered under my supplemental insurance plan?

I might have phrased my last question a bit clumsily. I'm currently taking Prozac for anxiety and depression, but I'm also struggling with constant insomnia and staying up way too late. Since I can't be taking any more sleep aids at this point, could switching my medication help with the sleeplessness?

What makes it work so well for you? I'm looking for a newer generation antidepressant that helps with insomnia without being known for causing weight gain. I'm on Zoloft right now, but it just isn't cutting it for me.
I'd love to hear from anyone who actually knows their stuff about this.
