I've always been fascinated by athletes who spend a season grinding in the shadows just to seize the top spot the following year. It feels like a much more rewarding journey than the players who are handed the keys from day one. Do you prefer seeing the established stars stay on top, or the scrappy underdogs climb the ladder?
So, I’ve got this old relic sitting on my desk—a Pentium III running at 733 MHz with 256 MB of SD RAM, a 20 GB hard drive, and an onboard NVIDIA Riva TNT2 graphics chip. I ran a quick Everest benchmark and it’s reporting 24 MB of video memory, and I’ve gone ahead and installed the Aladdin TNT2 drivers for it. The OS is Windows XP Service Pack 3. Now, the screen flickers every now and then, which is a bit annoying, but the real headache starts when I try to actually play some games. Specifically, I'm trying to get Call of Duty 1 up and running. Even though the system specs say I meet all the requirements to launch the game, it just refuses to start. Do you think this is a driver issue with that specific card on Windows XP, or could it be something else entirely? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers
