Is it just me, or does every club seem to enter this weird state of limbo once the season approaches? You see these vacancies open up, and suddenly everyone has an opinion on who the "right" person is. I remember back in my local league days, we spent three months arguing over a coach, only to hire someone who lasted exactly four games before quitting.
It feels like there’s a fine line between finding the perfect fit and just picking a name that sounds impressive on paper. Sometimes you just need someone to steady the ship, but other times you feel like you need a total revolution to actually move the needle. The interim guys always seem to have that "I'd love the chance" energy, which is noble, but it also makes you wonder if they're actually the best long-term solution or just a safe placeholder.
When a team is sitting there without a permanent leader right as the schedule starts ramping up, do you think it's better to gamble on a big name or stick with the person who already knows the dressing room?

Greetings to all the homemakers and nature enthusiasts out there. It is highly unlikely that the described method would lead to alcoholism. The application here is slightly different. Think of it like this: Mom and baby sleep soundly... a quick dip of the finger in some bourbon to soothe the infant, then repeating the process for the mother. Do that a few times—even if you miss the target occasionally—and you are guaranteed a couple of hours of sleep. 🤣
It’s scheduled. I don't have the bandwidth to write much right now, so excuse me. I had an idea, but it requires more heavy lifting than I can manage at this moment. 😵

I promised the nature lovers a story... it was supposed to be about olives and how I downed a Strongbow Red Berries one day after harvesting them. But forget all that. It’s just margaritas before pigs. It isn't worth the effort. To those who genuinely appreciate my work, I offer a sincere apology. We can't always get exactly what we want.
Lucky are the fools and the crazy ones; they own their entire world and fear absolutely nothing.🙂
Creatives are something else entirely. It’s always refreshing to see that level of ingenuity, especially as people approach their milestone anniversaries—whether they choose to lean into the nostalgia or just spice things up with a bit of humor 🙂
I hope driftingmarlin44 hasn't lost his temper yet. Drew Lee9's story serves as a warning; lust, desire, and pure stupidity are all holding hands while wandering through the Appalachian Mountains. 🤣
TOP MODELS I turned into a total tyrant, playing slave driver for forty-eight hours straight. I found two snails during a rainy walk and dragged them into my yard, pinning them down with a cigarette so they’d wait out the clouds with me and pose like models. It's just a prettier way to describe the master-servant dynamic the media has built. On the second sunny afternoon, I moved my little beauties to a prime spot and waited for them to show off, but they wouldn't budge—completely lifeless. I gave them a gentle poke here and there, but they just recoiled like they were offended, or maybe just acting tough. Disappointed by their blatant disobedience, I left them sitting on their pedestals overnight. By the next morning, naturally, the slaves had escaped, and I was declared an incompetent taskmaster. Jan, if only I had been this bossy a century ago! As for how I ended up in the doghouse, I won't say. The photo is for Louise and me 🙂
Exactly. We’re all nothing if not talented and diverse here. Some people ride motocross, some play classical piano, others are behind a camera... then there are those special types who spend their time doing headstands while cracking peanuts or begging on their knees 😁
The seventh creativity challenge is basically just turning corn into popcorn. 🤣 At first glance, this is specifically for driftingmarlin44, assuming he hasn't already exhausted his entire repertoire of romantic escapades fueled by pure imagination and old anecdotes. Drew Lee9’s story serves as the cautionary tale here. The lesson centers on one specific question: where did the peanuts go? And what do you mean by "singing well" in your intro? We all sing, whisper, or chuckle... you don't need to write it down, just tell the story. Is that acceptable? 🙂
It seems I’ve missed the mark on spotting a new challenge. I’m hoping the peanut gang makes the most of this weekend and gets him 🙂 Congratulations to our newest recruit, Miaani!
