this is how it looks otherwise :/
a few posts back, I asked if it was even possible to just have a surgeon lift the tip of my nose a tiny bit without it costing $2,000? 🙂

thanks!

man, the smartest move would be to just email these photos directly to the doctors. trust me, they'll all get back to you, and then you'll actually know where you stand.
Charles Gonzalez9 said:Hey everyone. This forum hasn't really been much help regarding nose surgery, so I figured I'd just lay out my own experience here.
On January 28th, I had my nasal pyramid and septum repaired at the Holy Spirit hospital. I was operated on by Domagoj Parazajder, who is arguably one of the top ENT surgeons in the US. They aren't taking the cast off my nose until this Wednesday, so I won't actually know what the final result looks like until then. I have nothing but praise for the ENT staff; the young nurses were very kind and were right there whenever you needed them.
On the night of January 27th, the night before the procedure, I got an injection in my stomach to prevent blood clotting. When I went to bed, I also had to take a small pill, though I'm not entirely sure what it was for.
On the morning of the 28th, I had to shower, and right before the surgery, they gave me some liquid to swallow and spit out. I walked to the operating room on my own, and once they prepped me, the doctor was joking around with me a bit. They administered the anesthesia through my arm, and after that, I woke up in my room. The surgery lasted about two and a half hours. After it was over, I didn't feel any pain—I didn't even need any painkillers, just something to help me sleep because the people around me were snoring like crazy.
On January 30th, they shortened my nasal tampons. They pulled about 30 cm of 1.5 cm wide tape out of each nostril; it didn't hurt.
On the 31st, they removed the tampons completely. That was uncomfortable and stung a little.
On February 1st, they changed the cast on my nose. The doctor had to scrape away some scabs, and man, that hurt—it felt like he was pulling my brain out through my nose.
I have to use nasal drops for a week and rinse with plenty of saline solution, and I'm allowed to sleep on my side.
Now I'm just waiting until Wednesday to see the results once the cast comes off.

Hi! What kind of scabs are you talking about? My doctor never mentioned anything like that... he only told me I'd need to rinse with saline or Aquamaris after the surgery. He definitely didn't mention anything about scraping or cleaning away scabs.
Amy Richardson86 said:I completely agree with you. I went through the exact same thing, thinking that if I paid out of my own pocket, they’d actually put in some extra effort. Unfortunately, it was just a poorly executed job. It seems like all they care about is collecting the money; after that, they couldn't care less. 😢

I'm choosing a private specialist because I trust their expertise, not because I'm paying them a premium. Honestly, knowing there are plenty of dissatisfied patients and failed surgeries with serious complications adds an extra layer of anxiety to my existing nerves about the procedure. But what can you do? It's like deciding not to drive just because so many people have been in accidents. Okay, maybe that's a bit of a cliché, but the logic holds. I've picked the doctor who seems the most reliable right now, I have realistic expectations, and I'm moving forward with the hope that everything goes smoothly. As for how the surgery itself turns out, that's out of my hands at this point.🤷

I am truly sorry things turned out badly for you. I really hope you start feeling better soon, or that any necessary revision surgery exceeds your expectations. Warm regards. 🙂
My doctor told me the same thing—that I’ll have to go under the knife for an open rhinoplasty because of some enlarged (read: ugly) cartilage at the tip of my nose that he just can't fix any other way.
Supposedly, the scar isn't a big deal and should fade until it's basically invisible after a while..
Honestly, I don't care how he performs the surgery or when he does it, as long as the end result turns out right!! 😉

It was primarily meant to be a functional surgery, but the agreement with the doctor was that he would trim some cartilage because I had this little bump on my nose. Now, my nose looks terrible; it’s drooping and shaped like an upside-down triangle—the tip points straight down—and it's really unpleasant to look at. The doctor thinks he might have missed something and offered to redo the surgery for free, but there is absolutely no way I'm going back to him. So, I'm asking if anyone knows about their experiences with revision surgery or secondary rhinoplasty? Is it true that I'll be stuck with this drooping nose if I don't get another procedure? My doctor, unfortunately, won't give me a straight answer... and the bones on both sides haven't even fully settled yet. Help!

She actually accomplished quite a bit while she was working with him.🙂
Just add her as a friend on Facebook and ask whatever you want to know.🙂

hahaha! That's actually a pretty sweet idea! 🤣
I've seen the videos on YouTube showing how he handled everything, and I have to admit, he did a pretty solid job there. But then again, she was essentially his walking advertisement back then, so he didn't really have much of a choice in the matter.
I've already had my consultation and we spoke on the phone, but I think I’d like to hear about someone else's experience before I actually take the plunge. And if anyone has a photo they could share, that would be great, obviously!
The last I heard, they only make such subtle adjustments that you can barely even tell you’ve had surgery. To be honest, I'm feeling a little anxious about it because my main goal is to have a nose that actually looks natural. But at the same time, I'm thinking—after I drop $2,200 on this, deal with the swelling, the recovery process, the scarring, and all that other trauma, I'd at least want the nose to look smaller and the change to be somewhat noticeable.
If anyone needs anything at all, I’m right here. Just reach out. 😉
Hey everyone, I’m asking anyone who has any kind of information—whether it's positive or negative—regarding Dr. Zambell to please share it with me. If you have any photos, I’d especially appreciate those!! I’m picking a date for my surgery tomorrow. 🙄
nimblemarlin622 said:I had my surgery about six months ago. I was wondering if it’s normal for my nose to feel slightly swollen on some days and then totally fine on others? Will this ever actually go away? It feels like it reacts to everything—temperature changes, day vs. night, fatigue... you name it. :-(

Goodness. I haven't gone under the knife yet, but from everything I've been researching, people say this is pretty standard. Apparently, it can still happen even after six months. I've heard others mention being sensitive to weather changes and stuff like that too.
Amy Richardson86 said:Just thought I'd pop in here and say hello after such a long time.😉
In just a few days, it’ll be exactly one year since my nose surgery, and I have to admit, I’m really unhappy with how everything turned out. What’s even more frustrating is that I can still feel these bony bumps where the fractures were made—on both sides of my nose—and they're clearly visible to the naked eye. Has anyone else dealt with something like this? I'm honestly lost. Could it be some kind of bone callus? Or am I just dealing with swelling that hasn't fully subsided yet? I don't know if I should wait or if I'm looking at a mandatory revision surgery. Because of these lumps, my face looks sort of sunken and awkward now. Before the surgery, even though my nose was large, it had a certain elegance to it that is completely gone now. I just don't know what to do anymore... please help.😕

Sorry, I was wondering—who actually performed your surgery?
Nicole Ortiz34 said:I was wondering if anyone here has actually had nose surgery performed by Dr. Racic over at the Mayo Clinic in Miami? If so, what was your experience like? I’m honestly terrified because my surgery is scheduled in about two weeks. 😢

Also, I think I saw someone on an earlier thread mention they went to see Dr. Racic and ended up being unhappy with the results—apparently, four other girls in the same room felt the exact same way.
Kimberly Hughes17 said:It seems you know the "Miami crowd," so I wanted to ask—do you know anything about Dr. Lisec? I've heard he's a solid ENT, but I have no idea how his aesthetic work is. In my case, those two things are tied together... I need surgery on the tip of my nose, and it’s been incredibly difficult finding feedback on someone who specializes in nasal tips..

I've heard nothing but good things about Dr. Lisec. I actually personally know a boxer whom he basically saved; he fixed his breathing after two failed surgeries. So, yes, he’s an excellent ENT, but I can't really speak to his aesthetic results since a boxer's needs aren't really a benchmark for beauty.
What I do know is that his prices are steep—really steep. A consultation and ear cleaning will run you about $333. I believe the surgery itself is around $19,000, though you should probably double-check that because I'm not entirely certain. The woman I mentioned in my previous post went to him for a consultation regarding both aesthetic and functional nose surgery, and he told her straight up that he might struggle to fix everything at once. Maybe her deviation was just too severe, I suppose. Either way, he seems fair; he tells you what he can and can't do. For the tip of the nose, maybe Zambelli would be a better bet?!
Nicole Ortiz34 said:I was wondering if anyone here has had nose surgery performed by Dr. Racic over at the Mayo Clinic in Miami? I’d love to hear some honest feedback or impressions. To be honest, I am absolutely terrified—my surgery is coming up in about two weeks. 😢

Dr. Racic actually performed my tonsillectomy when I was just a kid. 🙂 And that went perfectly too.
I know a woman who went through private surgery with Dr. Kurtovic and Dr. Racic down in Miami. They performed the procedure together, and honestly, it was an absolute disaster. Her nose actually collapsed, they completely failed to fix the deviation, and there were tiny bone fragments scattered everywhere, which caused massive inflammation. To make matters worse, they didn't even address her nasal conchae. The surgery itself was excruciatingly painful, and the recovery period dragged on forever. The end result? It looks much worse than it did before she ever stepped foot in the clinic. Dr. Kurtovic ended up returning about half of her money, but he barely did it—mostly because she was already threatening to sue him.
Since Racic was directly involved in the surgery and everything surrounding it, I really don't know what to tell you. He has a reputation in Miami for being a solid doctor, though he isn't exactly known for cosmetic procedures. I'm not sure if you just need a functional surgery... he should be able to handle that quite well, but that girl chose him specifically for that reason, so there's that.
I don't mean to discourage you, but I think it’s probably better to be aware of everything. Warm regards!
Thanks for the replies 🙂
For those of you who were doing your own saline rinses at home instead of going back to the clinic for professional cleaning after surgery with Dr. Racic—how is your breathing? I'm curious if you've actually managed to prevent those crusts from forming inside your nose.
I’m a bit confused about why some doctors suggest nasal rinses after a procedure, while others—like John Doe, for instance—prefer to manually clear out any crusting that forms in the nose after surgery. I guess I'm wondering which approach is actually correct. Can a simple saline spray like Aquamaris really replace the manual cleaning done by a specialist? What have you guys used, and what actually worked for you? Thanks! 🙂
Sure, I’m just some big shot if I want to pay for my own surgery instead of gambling with public doctors. Even though I pay for private insurance, this is about my health—my face, my nose... it matters.
Hey everyone, since this happens to be my very first post on here!! 😉

Does anyone happen to know, maybe, who performed the surgery on jelen Glišić and Miu Franić?
