I’ve been thinking a lot lately about these extreme transformations people go through. You see it everywhere—athletes, influencers, even just people in your local gym—where they decide that to reach the next level, they have to completely nuking one specific part of their life. It’s always something dramatic, like cutting out an entire food group or changing their sleep schedule entirely.

I tried something similar last year. I decided to cut out all processed stuff for a month, thinking I'd feel like a superhero. For the first week, I was on top of the world, but by day ten, I was so irritable that I almost snapped at my brother for no reason. It felt less like "self-improvement" and more like I was just running on pure willpower and caffeine. It’s hard to tell if these massive, sudden sacrifices actually build long-term discipline, or if they just lead to a massive crash once the novelty wears off.

Do you guys think these "all-or-nothing" approaches actually work for the long haul, or is it better to just make tiny, boring changes every day?
