I was watching the game last night and honestly, my heart was in my throat for a second. It wasn't even about the score or the standings, it was just that sudden, sharp moment where everything stops because someone gets hurt.
I don't know if it's just me, but I find myself getting physically tense whenever a player takes a hard hit or an unexpected injury happens. It’s that feeling of "oh no, this is going to change everything for their season" or "this is going to be a long recovery." Even when it's just a minor tweak, the tension in the air is heavy.
I used to be able to just enjoy the flow of the game, but lately, I feel like I'm constantly bracing for the next "what if" moment. Do you guys get that kind of secondhand anxiety when you're watching, or are you able to just stay chill regardless of what happens on the field?
You went ahead and edited your post after I had already submitted my reply. In my view, it is hardly the role of a moderator to unilaterally decide what constitutes "diluting" a discussion.
If certain arguments keep resurfacing and distorting the actual facts, shouldn't there be a direct rebuttal? Is that not the point of a debate?
I’ll say it again... "related discussions". Either change the thread title or take a hard look at your moderation style.
So, let me get this straight: your response to my complaint about you deleting—or rather, nuking—content that isn't even off-topic is just to tell me to "stick to the subject"? Absolutely absurd.
For instance, according to your logic, discussing creditworthiness regarding a Swiss Franc Loan versus the Dollar or Euro would be considered off-topic within a thread specifically meant for "related discussions on Swiss Franc Loans"?
And tell me, is it perfectly acceptable to issue a warning after you’ve already scrubbed away the part of the post you found objectionable?
If you truly believe that presenting a differing viewpoint in a civil manner constitutes "cluttering" a thread, then surely you'll agree with me that we simply need two separate threads.
My contribution to this discussion is perfectly valid. Is it suddenly "inappropriate" whenever I critique or offer a suggestion to AARP? Or perhaps what's actually inappropriate is the reaction from a certain small clique of immature individuals?
If you have an actual issue with my input, then issue a formal warning. Don't go around frantically deleting everything *you* personally deem off-topic. Or better yet, are you just deleting things that aren't off-topic at all, but merely triggered some low-brow reactions, and you find it easier to hit delete just because someone was offended? Hillary?
Maybe we should just rename this place "AARP," considering that lately (Carol Price4) seems more interested in censorship than actual moderation. I mean, if the title claims to cover "discussions related to Swiss Franc Loans," then what’s been happening over the last few days makes absolutely no sense.
Take #15775, labeled as off-topic/spam—really, Carol Price4?
Editing posts (#15742) and then banning everything else that was left? It’s complete nonsense. If you want to ban someone, fine, but issuing a ban for content you already deleted yourself? Where is the logic in that?
And honestly, the editing is pointless; why try to pretend this forum is something it isn't?
There is far too much editing and deleting going on—way too much. I don't even have the energy to provide more examples or connect the dots for you all, because it’s glaringly obvious that someone is behaving like a "bull in a china shop."
So, I am proposing it once again: split this into two separate threads—one for AARP and another for the related discussions. As it stands, you're just creating an environment of censorship and one-sided thinking.
p.s. Good grief, you’re deleting my post which wasn't even off-topic! I was discussing the repeated denials regarding the existence of certain loans, making a concrete point about their existence and prompting people to think about who was actually deemed capable of handling a Swiss Franc Loan.
By deleting posts like that, you aren't just managing a forum; you are rewriting history, erasing facts, and engaging in the crudest form of censoring the truth.
