Does anyone else feel like the "big event" magic is fading?

I was thinking about this last night while scrolling through some old clips. There’s something about those massive, stadium-sized summer shows that used to feel absolutely essential, you know? Like, you just *knew* something legendary was going to happen.
Lately, though, I feel like the quality is becoming such a gamble. It feels like for every absolute classic that keeps you on the edge of your seat, there are two or three matches that feel like a complete waste of time or just plain uncomfortable to watch. It’s like the stakes are high, but the actual execution is just... meh.
Don't get me wrong, I love the spectacle, but I'm starting to get a bit of burnout from the filler. It's frustrating when you clear your schedule for a big night and end up mostly just watching people stumble around a ring for twenty minutes.
Do you guys think it's just a matter of bad booking, or has the overall standard of these major events just dropped over the years?
