Man, watching these guys go in and out of the lineup is brutal. It feels like every time you get used to a rotation, someone hits a wall. Anyone else feeling like this season is just one injury rollercoaster after another?

Go into the footer of section 2 and hit that same as Previous button. Only then will those sections actually stop messing with each other so you can delete the numbers in the first one or fix them in the second.

Got it.. thanks. Now I'm dealing with this crap where the page numbers on pages two and three just vanish, and then page one starts pulling whatever I type on page four. If I delete stuff on page one, it wipes out page four too. Wtf... and I even clicked next page after page 3.

Update: I managed to separate them.. so page three starts at 1, but it's still auto-numbering the first three pages too. So it goes 0, 1, 2 and then back to 1, 2, 3... And if I try to delete those first three, everything gets nuked automatically. Even though the first three say Section 1 and the rest say Section 2..

That’ll split things into two separate sections.
From there, you can mess with the footers in both sections however you want—like, wiping out the numbers in the first part and putting in what you actually need in the second. Just remember, in that second section (which starts on page 4), you have to click the same as Previous icon (it's the 5th one over on that pop-up ribbon that shows up when you're in the footer) to unlock it so you can number that section differently. Then just toss in the page number and set it using the format page Number button (the 3rd icon on that same ribbon). Pick Start at > [whatever number you want, probably 1 🙂] > OK.
Look, I know it sounds dry, but just take it step by step. It ain't that hard.

It’s just not working for me... I need to kill those first 3 pages too. But whenever I delete the numbers, they vanish from everything. And when I try to type a number in, the same damn number pops up on every single page. Plus, that same as previous button is greyed out, so I can't even click it. 🤷
