Big spending vs. actual success in Fans ·
I feel like every major organization these days promises a "total transformation" within a few years, but the reality rarely matches the hype. It's easy to throw money at a problem, but building a lasting legacy is a much harder game. Do you think massive investment actually guarantees results, or is it just a way to mask a lack of real progress?

Regarding those "studies" people scatter all over the internet—well, there's an old saying back home that basically means "you can print anything on a flyer if you try hard enough." The same logic applies here.

Vitamins are incredibly heat-sensitive—they're thermolabile, to be precise—meaning they get wiped out by almost any kind of thermal processing. You end up with food that provides calories, sure, but absolutely zero nutritional value.
The shorter the cooking time, the more vitamins actually survive the process. In that specific regard, even a microwave isn't a bad tool to have in the kitchen...

Now, let's not get ahead of ourselves—nothing beats fresh fruit and vegetables. If you stick to those, you really can't go wrong.

Fresh produce is always the gold standard, obviously.......

But when it comes to everything else? My heart is set on whatever works—even if that means tossing my milk in the microwave.

Regarding milk, using a microwave is likely the healthiest route; since milk burns so easily on a traditional stovetop—leaving behind those microscopic residue particles from previous batches—you're almost certainly dealing with several orders of magnitude more carcinogens that way.

That was my exact line of thinking... I use my microwave practically every single day, mostly just for reheating leftovers... and, for that matter, warming up milk for my little one.

The guy really caught me off guard—he sounded so incredibly self-assured, citing "studies" and whatnot...

Well, I feel much better now...

THX

P.S. Honestly, who is going to stand over a stove at 3:00 AM warming up milk? It's much easier to just zap it in the microwave and drift right back to sleep...🤣

Some guy cornered me today claiming there’s new research out suggesting that heating milk in the microwave turns it into something carcinogenic. Does that even sound remotely plausible to anyone here?
Has anyone actually come across anything resembling those claims?
