Breast pain/tenderness
in Women's Health ·
Since the report mentions fibroglandular tissue in the outer quadrant—which is exactly where you’re feeling that pain—it makes sense why this is bothering you. Even though your breast tissue is mostly involuted and you've gone through menopause, it doesn't mean your hormone levels have hit absolute zero. You still have enough circulating hormones to make that specific tissue more sensitive and prone to discomfort. Just make sure you're staying on top of your routine mammograms and ultrasounds, paying extra attention to those outer quadrants where the tissue tends to be denser, and keep up with your regular self-exams.
