Heh! Nice. I'm buying the rounds—cold beers on these freezing days... we drink until sunrise...😁
Turns out mods can actually mess up sometimes... or just change their minds. It looks like there's room to negotiate after all. A user isn't always wrong...👍

Hot beer? I'd rather have mulled wine... 😁

I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong... especially when I see that I actually screwed up. 😉

Alright, your post was sent back.

Read the rules. It clearly says links to porn sites are banned.

you'll see I wasn't asking for stories or novels. I was asking how people imagine these scenarios if they don't have actual experience. Purely fantasy!

Nobody is breaking any rules here!
Open your minds a bit, Kate Ward16 and Matthew Anderson 😉

You guys couldn't be more wrong!
Should we really ban fantasies when they're being discussed on basically every single thread on this forum?

Fine... 😕 in your post about how stories have their own dedicated threads, you saw some kind of violation 😕 No offense, but there's nothing I can do about that. Until you actually see the difference between a "story" and a "fantasy," anything I write is just a waste of time 🤷.
Look, the thread is meant for discussion, not for listing out fantasies—though even in a discussion, someone might casually mention a fantasy or an experience (emphasis on *casually*, since the point of the topic is discussion, not fantasies, which still doesn't mean they're banned anywhere)

Nicholas Williams7 said:Yeah, but that was wrapped up in the rest of my post. I don't see why a fantasy is controversial if the actual event isn't. This isn't me retelling some novel; it's just what's already being said... about desires. Not many people have massive experience with this stuff, so a little fantasizing is actually helpful, and people are already doing it. Besides, the topic is BDSM, so it fits perfectly. I don't agree with this warning.

The point of this thread is discussing BDSM through sharing experiences, personal thoughts, perspectives, etc. That's exactly what it's for. But writing out fantasies and desires in the form of stories? Sorry, but that doesn't belong here. Use the specific thread linked instead.

I quoted you just to get a word in, but that warning isn't directed at you personally. It’s for everyone on this thread. I've repeatedly asked that we stop debating laws and legalities in this specific discussion and in the PDF... but it keeps happening. I only brought it up because your post mentioned those two again.

Never happened for me... try getting rid of those forum ads, using AdBlock or whatever... there's a setting somewhere to strip those out, maybe then it'll stop popping up everywhere 🤷
Linda Price5 said:Message received, loud and clear.

What I don't get is why you didn't just say we can only discuss religion when it directly hits the couple's intimacy or sex life. Instead, you went straight to threatening bans for any talk about faith...

Fine, you have a point. Let me fix 😉

One more thing—can I ask why you wouldn't just DM a moderator if you think something is wrong, just to get an answer? 🤷 If you'd sent me a private message questioning something or saying it wasn't right, I would've responded just like I am here... explaining the warning and acknowledging your take...
That warning was put up because things moved past just sharing opinions and started veering into personal insults...
And I’m struggling to see how the "don't debate religion" rule applies here. If you're just stating an opinion, that should be fine. But if you start dissecting every single religious nuance and turning the whole thread into a theological debate... which part of that is actually against the rules? Just curious...

Matthew Anderson said:Like dustyranger64 said, if the rhetoric stays this way, we're looking at a partial... soon enough.

Just adding my +1 here. Between what's in the PDF and everything already stated on this thread... yeah.

Sarah Sanders34 said:It’s the same logic used to ban claims that certain races are inferior or that being gay is a sickness.

And yeah, you're inciting violence. Most of us women on this board feel harassed because you openly claim our role is just to, and I quote, "spread our legs," cook, and shut up.

That might be your personal preference, but don't try to pass it off as fact.

And you've brought this up in several threads just this month.

For someone who talks so much about logic, your actual arguments are pretty bottom-tier.

Ashley Taylor45 said:I think his goal is to get humanity back on track—arranged marriages (yeah, Drew Lee7, that guy is your prime example of rationality 😂, unlike women who actually choose), women staying in the kitchen, banning education, stuff like that.

In my profession, I run into these twisted views all the time—men treating women as lesser beings. Usually from educated men. But he doesn't even hide it like they do. I can respect honesty if it's well-meaning, but this guy? Not so much.

🤣 🤣
tell another one.

Bullshit. dustyranger64 is a fine moderator, and all the mods here at Lumber are incredibly tolerant.

Admins, please protect the women from more Greenlander's outbursts on this forum. For good.
Muscle weakness in Health ·
Funny how nobody ever replied to the original post here, even if it’s been sitting around forever... anyway—
crimsonbear23 said:I originally posted this thread over on the Red subforum, but I didn't really get much traction there. I had this nagging thought that my current "condition" might be entirely unrelated to being pregnant, but since nobody else was stepping up to share their own personal struggles, the conversation just stalled.

To wrap it all up:

I’m currently sixteen weeks into my pregnancy, and for the last four or five days, I’ve been hit with this overwhelming weakness in my arms and legs. It’s honestly difficult to put into words—this profound sense of total physical frailty. It all came on so suddenly. There isn't any actual pain, and I'm not dealing with muscle cramps or anything like that. I actually went to see a physical therapist who assured me that my spine looks perfectly fine and suggested that if a nerve were pinched, I’d definitely be feeling some localized pain. While the massage therapy he provided helped a tiny bit, I’m still dragging myself through the day; I can't even tackle a flight of stairs without white-knuckling the handrail with both hands. To give you an idea of how desperate I am: I can't even pick up my two-year-old if they happen to trip and fall.
The bottom line is that I feel absolutely terrible. I'm at a loss as to who to turn to for actual help. Has anyone here ever dealt with something similar?

...could be myasthenia gravis, but since this post is two years old, I assume you already checked everything out and figured it out.
Why was my thread locked on Reddit? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It’s turned into a total troll fest... either start banning people or just shut the whole thing down. Pick one.
Besides, there's already a thread about how to approach people and meet them, like this massive mega-thread:
Apophis thread locked on Reddit in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Matthew Anderson said:Your thread got locked because:
a) You spammed the same thing across four different threads
b) All you ever did was drop links

Two mods and a supermod already told you the point of this forum is actual discussion, not just dumping links. Since you're ignoring that explanation, I don't see any point in arguing further... it's just a waste of time.

And a third mod is backing up everything said here.

steelskipper5 said:The quotes are there because I seriously doubt Anderlon would ever publish a book filled with their favorite posts without getting permission from every single author first. 😉

Exactly. To publish anyone's post—which is really just publishing someone's opinion—you have to get permission from the author themselves. Otherwise, it's just plagiarism and theft. Plus, you're required to credit the source of the idea, or at least where it came from, once you have permission.

loneraven25 said:...the answer could just as easily be the opposite,
if you stop to ask: who actually owns these threads?..

If we're playing that game, the site itself "owns" everything on it—our handles, our posts, the threads. I put that word in quotes because it's not like they own what we're thinking when we write it.
This is just an online space owned by one person. As such, it isn't under the jurisdiction of everyone's thoughts just because we're typing here. Everything belongs to the platform. Or you could go read the whole Federal Communications Act and see who it actually grants power to...

Thanks so much! 🙂

Thanks 🙂

She reported it right away, and she didn't even get hit with a penalty, though she definitely deserved one... I'm still sitting here waiting for some kind of response to my PM, but nothing...

Ethan Hayes2 said:Of course I reported it. But the thread is still sitting there, which leads me to wonder about the logic being used here—if it’s been proven that the person who started this whole thing is nothing more than a professional troll on this site.

Logic dictates—people are actually talking and debating here... doesn't even matter who started the thread...
Multi-quote rule in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Maria Reyes4 said:Thanks for the response. What you're saying makes perfect sense.

It’s actually refreshing to see more people showing up here to have a decent conversation about the rules.

So, can we at least agree regarding the main board that the rule is changing—that merging posts and issuing warnings won't be necessary anymore, while keeping multi-quote as a recommendation rather than a strict requirement? 🙂

The stuff about getting flagged is gone. They just left an explanation on where to find the multi-quote and how to use it. So the whole post basically reads like—here's a way to avoid spamming consecutive posts... I guess. 🤔
And posts will just merge without any warnings at the bottom.
