Hi, can anyone tell me what might be going on here? My rheumatologist sent me to get these levels checked (among others) because she suspects I might have Raynaud's.

Receding gums: what to do? in Dentistry & Oral Hygiene ·
No one in my family deals with gum disease.
Today is July 7th, and I haven't felt any pain since the night before last.
I just hope it stays away.

Would an electric toothbrush actually make a difference? I’m trying to get my brushing technique right, and maybe one of those could be the solution.

About three or four months ago, I started feeling this sharp pain in one of my upper right teeth. I honestly thought it was just a cavity. So, I went to see my dentist, and she told me the truth: my gums had receded, leaving the tooth root exposed. The culprit? A hard-bristled toothbrush. I tossed that thing straight into the trash and switched to an extra-soft one immediately.

She also recommended Sensodyne, which I’ve been applying directly to the area. I’ve gone through tubes of it. For a while, things settled down, but then a few days ago, the pain came rushing back. Now I'm worried the damage is repeating itself.

Is there any way out of this? Can this actually be fixed? I'm only 27, and my teeth were otherwise perfect—now I'm stuck dealing with a mess I created myself.
