Thanks. Now the real question: how on earth am I going to get those 12V to it? 😁
Can anyone tell me if the cables in this order will do the trick:

for an old drive like this one: https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-qfza...979468.jpg?c=2?
I'm a little worried about the power supply. Unlike connecting a laptop drive, I've realized this specific model needs its own dedicated power. Looking at these photos, I can't quite figure out how that extra power connects—am I going to need to hunt down another cable?
I think I’m definitely running low on memory here! But I’ve been wondering: what's the best way to speed things up? Should I swap my current drive for a 128 GB SSD running Windows, add another 4 gigs of RAM, or just go all out and do both? Personally, I’m leaning toward doing both at once!
I used to run about 12 tabs at once, but after cleaning out my extensions down to just 5, I’m sitting here with only 2 tabs open and still seeing 8 Chrome processes. Even worse? Firefox is eating up nearly 80% of my RAM!
If I run Chrome and Firefox at the same time, my memory usage hits about 90%. Firefox alone is grabbing roughly 900 MB. I'm running Windows 10.
Here’s the Task Manager view right after a fresh Windows boot:

Just with Chrome open:

And both Chrome and Firefox together:

My current laptop feels almost as sluggish as the old relic I replaced, a seven-year-old HP ProBook 4710s 😵
I just picked up a new laptop and I'm already hitting a wall. Just running Chrome with a few tabs open eats up over 70% of my RAM! If I dare to open Firefox at the same time, the whole system crawls and my disk usage starts spiking like crazy. I'm trying to figure out the best fix—should I grab a 128 GB SSD upgrade or just pop in another 4 GB of memory? What do you guys think is the better move here?
Thanks! It’ll be either that cable or the tray, then. What does that tray actually look like, and what's the specific English term for it so I can track it down online?
My laptop's motherboard just gave up on me, so I'm trying to figure out how to grab the data from the hard drive—assuming the drive itself is still healthy. The laptop is a Dell Latitude, and the specs say the drive is SATA-300, though I'm not entirely sure what that implies. Any idea roughly what it would cost to get this data recovered?

That’s what I was getting at! But before I dive into a massive wall of text, can someone who actually knows just give me the quick version? How does a website actually pin down my location—who's feeding them the data? Is it my ISP, or am I providing it somehow? An IP address doesn't seem accurate enough. Is it because of the Wi-Fi? I'm on a laptop without GPS, and I assume triangulation isn't an option here, unless it's via wireless signals? What if I were using an old-school Ethernet cable? It's incredibly precise for me right now; they placed me within two or three meters, though I imagine if I were out in the middle of nowhere, it wouldn't be nearly as spot-on.
I just pulled up www.gaiagps.com and the site instantly pinpointed my exact location. How on earth can a website figure out where I am sitting? I think a pop-up asked for permission earlier and I clicked yes, but still—how does the tech actually work?
We didn't join the Euro 😁
Back to the topic: It's just too expensive.
I’d personally make the trip out to Stowe 👍
