Printer recommendations (megathread) in Computer Peripherals ·
Hey everyone, I find myself stuck at a bit of a crossroads regarding two different printers...
I’m weighing the merits of the Canon Pixma TR7550 against the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e, and frankly, if anyone here actually considers themselves a bit of an expert on printing hardware, I would deeply appreciate any suggestions or insight you might be willing to share.
Thanks, LP

To get things moving, I just grabbed this snippet from an online tutorial...
Code:
// This program shown how to control arduino from PC Via Bluetooth
// Connect ...
// arduino>>bluetooth
// D11 >>> Rx
// D10 >>> Tx
//Written By Mohannad Rawashdeh
//for http://www.microsoft.com/

// you will need arduino 1.0.1 or higher to run this sketch

#include <SoftwareSerial.h>// import the serial library

SoftwareSerial Microsoft(10, 11); // RX, TX
int ledpin=13; // led on D13 will show blink on /off
int BluetoothData; // the data given from Computer

void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
Microsoft.begin(9600);
Microsoft.println("Bluetooth On please press 1 or 0 blink LED ..");
pinMode(ledpin,OUTPUT);
}

void loop() {
// put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
if (Microsoft.available()){
BluetoothData=Microsoft.read();
if(BluetoothData=='1'){ // if number 1 pressed ....
digitalWrite(ledpin,1);
Microsoft.println("LED On D13 ON ! ");
}
if (BluetoothData=='0'){// if number 0 pressed ....
digitalWrite(ledpin,0);
Microsoft.println("LED On D13 Off ! ");
}
}
delay(100);// prepare for next data ...
}

Against all odds, it actually started working😁, thanks for the help

It appears the module is ready to go right out of the box, so why don't you just drop by the lab? I'm curious, what exactly is the code supposed to be doing?

Well, I followed that exact tutorial to the letter... and it simply refuses to cooperate. To be clear, the connection is established, but once I open the port in the terminal, nothing happens—no initial startup message, no way to send commands, absolutely nothing. It’s only when I wire the Bluetooth HC-05 Rx to pin 10 and the Tx to pin 11 that the system finally spits out that message saying the Bluetooth is active, but even then, everything grinds to a halt again; I can't send any data, which naturally means I can't even toggle an LED on or off.🙂

I'm working with this specific module:

Hey everyone... I’ve been deep in the weeds with this Arduino project of mine lately... I managed to pick up a Bluetooth HC-05 module because I was hoping to establish a seamless wireless connection with my PC... Now, here is the kicker: I can actually get the connection established, but the moment I fire up the specific port on the terminal, everything just goes dead—I can't send a single byte, let alone receive anything back. Honestly, I’ve been banging my head against this wall for weeks now. Has anyone else here wrestled with this particular headache, and if so, does anyone have any actual advice to offer?
