So where did Zabotinski disappear to? Don't tell me he joined the "exodus" too.
I just don't see any potential for moderators coming from the crowd preaching about how "miraculously beneficial" this exodus is—we’re all way too fired up for that. 😁
I’m honestly not sure there’s any "saving" this current thread. My suggestion was basically just to lock the whole thing down for a month, hoping the trolls and the off-topic junkies would just move on and forget we even exist.
Maybe it actually makes more sense to just start a brand new thread about the "exodus"—something on a much higher level, where the opening post lays down some hard lines on what counts as off-topic right from the jump.
The real kicker is that just a few days ago, we actually tried to step things up. Even some of the skeptics who were questioning whether an "exodus" could actually do any good started getting way more constructive, and then—boom—everything fell apart in a matter of days because of endless, useless posts.
Look, as the guy who started this thread and actually puts in the work to read every single reply, I find it incredibly rude when people start bickering amongst themselves about stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with the core subject, especially right in the middle of a serious discussion. That’s exactly how you choke out a meaningful conversation; eventually, entropy just eats the whole topic alive.
