Thanks anyway, though I eventually managed to sort everything out myself; should anyone else find themselves facing this same headache, here is how you handle it:
When you first wipe your system, the very first thing you ought to do is head over to the Dell website at "http://support.dell.com/download/opt...x?Language=en" and select the model Automatic Detection to download all the necessary drivers for your specific laptop
.
According to the technical specifications, the graphics options are listed as
Integrated Intel ® hd Graphics 3000 (Core i3 & Core i5)
Integrated Intel ® hd Graphics (Core i3 & Core i5)
which means that in this particular case, one should navigate to "http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect" to utilize their automatic detection tool

I have attempted to install all three driver versions available on the Dell website, yet I am met with nothing but failure... I constantly receive an error stating, "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software." It appears the issue stems from the integrated Intel graphics, which sits alongside the dedicated GeForce card, as I previously mentioned...
So, what exactly was your approach here... did you just leave it running without any drivers installed for that GeForce graphics card? I honestly find it quite baffling how the technicians over at Best Buy, where I picked up my laptop, managed to get the driver set up and everything functioning perfectly... O.o
The graphics card mentioned here isn't performing quite as expected; specifically, following a total system crash and the subsequent installation of a fresh OS (Windows 7 Ultimate - 64bit), I have been plagued by driver issues... I have attempted to install at least ten different drivers, ranging from the official NVIDIA GeForce site to various third-party repositories, yet the results remain inconsistent. With certain versions, the system fails to recognize the graphics card entirely, while with others, the screen simply goes dark—so dark, in fact, that I could barely discern anything except for a faint glimmer of the desktop and the mouse cursor under heavy room lighting. In those specific instances, the card does show up in the display settings, though in most other cases, it remains undetected. I have spent a considerable amount of time scouring both domestic and international forums, but a definitive solution seems to elude me... if anyone happens to know what might be causing this, it would truly mean a lot... For context, the laptop was originally purchased at Best Buy with a registered version of Windows 7 Starter pre-installed, and I still have the original CD-key sticker on the chassis...
