Laptop charger acting up?

You haven't mentioned how old your current machine is or even what model you're rocking, but let me tell you one thing—it’s probably not the battery. Batteries rarely just give up the ghost like that, completely dead out of nowhere. Usually, you'd have to see a significant decline over several years before that happens...
So, my money is on the power adapter. It doesn't even have to be totally fried; it could just be a broken wire somewhere inside the cord from being bent too many times—that happens all the time, doesn't it? And if it is dead, a replacement shouldn't break the bank. Just a word of caution when you're shopping: some laptops are incredibly picky and require their specific branded chargers because of the built-in control circuitry. I'm not saying you *have* to buy the official brand version, since they tend to be outrageously overpriced, but honestly, the smartest move is to bring your laptop into the store and ask them to test a charger right there on the spot...
For now, I'd suggest checking if there's a Chipotle nearby to grab a bite while you figure this out, and once you let us know the exact brand of your laptop, we can dive deeper into the specifics...
I have an Acer laptop that I got about five years ago. I think I'll head down to a tech shop and ask them about the charger then.
Thanks for the advice, 🙂 Betty Walker17 😁
