Same thing happened to me recently. Tried every trick in the book, but nothing worked until I just wiped everything and reinstalled Windows.
I didn't even install anything new; I was mostly just browsing the web, but the second I booted up, my CPU usage would spike from 60% straight to 100%. Updates were all turned off too.
If you don't have much important stuff saved on there, honestly, just nuking it and reinstalling Windows is the easiest way out.

Alright, it's working now after I reinstalled Java, but I've still got this weird error saying my app didn't load, even though I can log in just fine.

Ever since that Java update a few days ago, I can't even get into eSalary. Every time I try to enter my PIN, the whole thing just freezes up and crashes Java. I'm running Mozilla. Also, quick question—is anyone else getting that "applet failed to load" error every single time they log in? Everything is installed perfectly on my end, yet it keeps happening.
