Seattle Sounders - LA Galaxy 2, 1.85 (0-1)

The Galaxy are clearly the superior side here—the first leg ended 0-0 back in LA, but let’s be real, they completely dictated the tempo and dominated possession for the entire ninety minutes. They just couldn't find the back of the net despite having all the control...

It’s pretty rare to see a match play out exactly like that twice in a row, so I’m calling it now: the Galaxy take this one. If you aren't feeling the straight win, you should at least look at the over 2.5 goals market...

So I really doubt your thyroid has anything to do with that.
Have you seen an ENT yet? You need a full exam, especially regarding your sinuses. It could be something like an issue with the Eustace tube.

And about those abdominal pains—specifically the muscle stuff—what did your doctors say about being bedridden for so long after surgery? Did they suggest any specific stretches or exercises?

The bed rest phase is finally wrapping up. I had some massive issues with the wound healing—that's why I ended up needing two surgeries in the first place—so I'm being extremely cautious following this second procedure.
...but it's been a month and a half now, and everything looks like the wound has closed up fine. I'm starting to move around more and stretch out, and I’ve already got a full recovery plan mapped out starting August 1st (I'll play it safe for another ten days or so until then).

The pain is strictly on my left side—it radiates toward the upper center where the thyroid actually is—but it only kicks in after I've been lying on that side for a while. It doesn't happen any other way. It's definitely linked to how I'm positioned, because the second I roll onto my back or my right side, the pain vanishes. Once the muscles recover over the next few days, that left-side pain should hopefully clear up too...

It is interesting, though—even though you said you misread my post, when I switch over to my right side or my back, that ear sensation doesn't happen at all. 😁

What's even more telling is that I haven't felt that coldness once while walking, standing, or sitting; it only happens when I'm lying down...😁

I'll mention it to my doctor during my next appointment in about ten days... I have to head back to the hospital anyway because I'm dealing with some inflammation in the fatty tissue on my back, so I need a checkup.

Uzas, if it's not happening, it's just not happening, damn. 😁😁

hmm maybe you're not far off the mark...

I’ve dealt with—and still occasionally deal with—these incredibly sharp, intense pains in the left side of my abdomen right under the ribs, stretching up toward the center. The last time it flared up was just two or three days ago. A few months back, I actually ended up in the ER because of this, so I've been through the whole gauntlet of tests.

Every doctor I saw was convinced it was pancreatitis, but it turns out all my labs came back perfectly clean. Everything is fine. Turns out the pain is actually just muscle strain underneath the ribcage. Apparently, I overdid it by lying on my left side and stomach too much—which makes sense, considering I spent over a year basically bedridden following two surgeries on my backside. 🤣

It's brutal, I know..

Anyway, I've noticed that this ringing in my ears doesn't happen when I'm walking around or standing up; it only kicks in when I'm lying down...

So, there might actually be a connection here—maybe excessive pressure on the thyroid from being stuck in one position for too long...

Does that even make sense?

Then again, about two years ago, I had an infection in that same ear, and it still gets clogged up on me quite often...
My sinuses have been messing with me since the day I was born, so whether it's freezing or sweltering outside, my nose is always stuffed up.

It’s coming in waves... it all started about two weeks ago when I was dealing with a lot more stress, and since then, I might feel it once every couple of days.

But today, it’s hitting me every 40 minutes or even more frequently...

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Chicago Fire - Portland Timbers 1 ... 1.20 (4-0)
The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw, but let’s be real—Chicago completely controlled that pitch. Those guys from Portland barely managed two shots on goal while Chicago racked up 18. Plus, Portland is sitting dead last in their league right now, so there's really nothing to be surprised about here...

I honestly think Ferrari is struggling to keep pace with the field... This isn't just a one-off thing during this race either—maybe it’s specific to today's setup, but it looks deeper than that.

We've seen this pattern before, like when it was Kimi vs. Vettel... Kimi claimed he was going to hunt him down, but then nothing happened—he couldn't even get within DRS range.

It was pretty much the same deal with Kimi vs. Rosberg... even when he got within a second, he couldn't manage to pull into the DRS zone for an entire lap.

The Vettel vs. Bottas battle shows the exact same thing... and right before that, Vettel had been gapping him by 6 or 7 seconds over just a few laps.

And even after Rosberg pulled off two overtakes, Ferrari still can't keep up until the gap shrinks down to about 1.5 or 2 seconds... and once it hits that mark, they just settle into the same rhythm—maybe even running a tiny bit slower.

darkmarlin16 said:That’s just because that other Mercedes was struggling with its brakes (you don't mean the start, surely). And during the race, that Mercedes easily overtook him.

He would've caught him regardless...

Besides, who's actually blaming Mercedes for having bad brakes? It’s just another car component—just like any other part that might give them a 0.5-second advantage per lap during a race...

Mercedes gains ground there, then loses it on the brakes...

Meanwhile, those Ferrari mechanics are absolutely crushing it... averaging 2.4-second pit stops... compared to Mercedes at 3.4...
