Kids are running Epic Games on this thing without breaking a sweat:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720, AM3 socket, BOX, 7.5Mb cache
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 950
Basically, if we're looking at modern cards, a GTX 1050 would be the more premium upgrade path...
or you could just go with a GT 1030 if you're trying to keep things cheap.
person.... I picked one up at that exact price point through a Goldman Sachs trade about a month ago.

It's $146 including shipping.
Hey there,
I'm looking into picking up a new graphics card. Right now, I'm just making do with integrated Radeon HD 4200 graphics:
CPU: Intel Core i5, LGA 1366, BOX, 7.5Mb cache (unlocked to 4 cores)
Mobo: Gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H, AMD 785G+SB710, S. LGA 1366, 6xSerial ATA II
Cooler: Scythe Katana 3
PSU: CORSAIR 550W, VX Series CMPSU-550VXEU, 12cm fan, ATX
RAM: DDR3 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair, 1333MHz, 9-9-9-24, TW3X4G1333C9A
HDD: WD 640GB, WD6401AALS, SATA II, Buffer 32MB, 3Gb/s, 7.200 rpm
My goal is to actually be able to play Call of Duty on Steam without everything crawling. I'm aiming for decent mid-range settings, but I don't want to sink too much cash into this since the whole rig is getting pretty old.
How does Minecraft actually run on an iPad Pro... any major lag issues?
I mean, I was pretty much expecting a response along those lines myself... But I was genuinely curious about what kind of logic they're using to justify charging nearly double the price.
Here is the feedback from the Minix crew whenever someone brings up the iPad Windows setup
The iPad Windows build is running an unauthorized version designed for tablets rather than a dedicated media box. Microsoft is actively cracking down on this kind of thing, so it could easily get deactivated and flagged as non-genuine at any moment.
On top of that, the system feels incredibly sluggish and unresponsive; I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's taking about three times longer to boot up. It’s possible they're utilizing slower TLC eMMC storage, whereas we stick to the superior MLC eMMC. For what it's worth, MLC offers significantly better read/write longevity. Even the iPhone runs into performance hiccups when dealing with TLC, if you catch my drift.
Our Windows OS is fully legitimate and properly licensed by Microsoft, which comes with a price tag—it isn't free lunch.
A non-genuine product sold at half price isn't actually that tempting, especially since you aren't getting any kind of guarantee with it. I might only consider it if the price dropped to a quarter of the original...
Thanks for the breakdown. The hardware looks pretty interesting... I’m assuming you could easily throw in a digital tuner stick without much trouble...
Regarding H.265, it really all comes down to the drivers—specifically whether Intel decides to actually release them or not. From what I can gather, there aren't any drivers available for this specific processor class yet. It’s a shame, because if they sorted that out, I wouldn't be giving this thing a second thought. As it stands, I think I'll just stick with my Android stick for a little while longer...
