Could someone give me a quick breakdown of how this actually works in practice? For instance, if I place a $10 bet split into four different plays at 2.0 odds, where one game kicks off at noon and another at 3:00 PM—meaning the timing doesn't align—what exactly am I getting when I use the unnamed, and what is the actual downside?
thanks!
I really want to thank everyone here for being so patient and for all the help and answers you've provided 🙏
but honestly, I’m just completely drained at this point. The thought of having to go down to my local Chase branch just to beg them to activate my account feels exhausting, especially since every single month when I walk through those doors, they try to upsell me on some useless service and I have to shut them down just to get through my business. On top of that, I know I'd probably run into a dozen more headaches, like being told my browser is outdated, or that my Java version is too old, or that my Android isn't compatible enough, or that I need to mess around with some complex system configurations... I have quite enough spite and self-respect to ensure I never step foot back into a sportsbook again, so I think I'll just leave gambling behind for good once this is over.

No, that isn't right because I always type that number right under the amount I want to transfer before hitting upload, and then it triggers that "Verified by Visa" prompt which asks if I want to enter my email address for activation or just cancel out. Honestly, the only thing I can think of is that when I'm selecting the amount and entering the security code, it asks whether the funds are intended for gambling or non-gambling activities. I always select gambling, but I don't recall if I might have originally set my Skrill account settings to general non-gambling purposes when I first opened it.
I just finished verifying my card with that specific amount, so everything looks good on that end, and now I’m attempting to make my first deposit from the card into Skrill. I type in the amount, but once I hit upload, this little notification pops up at the top saying "Verified by Visa" regarding some 3D Secure code, which makes it seem like I need some kind of security token or something. Does anyone know what the deal is with that? 🙂
I’m just being cautious for once, which is why I’m making sure to handle everything carefully to avoid any unnecessary headaches🙂
it’s almost certainly related to what the guy above mentioned, specifically regarding the reservation
Nothing ever goes quite right...
I started the verification process for my foreign currency debit card on my PayPal Digital wallet, where both the card and the account are held in the same currency. To get things moving, I headed down to my local JPMorgan Chase branch to grab a printed statement. Looking at the transaction, the amount shows up as x,yz. Just to be absolutely certain, I went up to the teller window, and after explaining myself three different times, the woman there tells me she sees exactly what I see on the statement, but she can't actually confirm if that x,yz total already includes whatever processing fees the bank might have tacked on.
So, I head home and give JPMorgan Chase a call. I try my best to explain the whole situation—PayPal, the verification process, the specific amount, the potential fees...
The representative goes to check the details, comes back on the line, and tells me straight up that there are no extra fees and that the amount shown on my statement should be the exact same amount that arrived in my PayPal account.
I log into PayPal, type that x,yz figure into the input box, and hit confirm.
Invalid entry...
What am I supposed to do now?
Hey everyone, I’m really hoping someone here has the patience and the willingness to walk through this with me. I’ve been trying to map everything out on my own, but I can't be entirely sure if my logic holds up. Since we all try to be as rational as possible with our investments, I figured I'd lay it all out here—hopefully, this helps others too, so please feel free to set me straight if I've missed anything:
1. I currently have a US dollar account at Chase, an account with PayPal, and an account over at DraftKings, all held in the exact same currency. I'm assuming this is basically the most cost-effective way to handle things, since keeping everything in one currency should theoretically prevent any unnecessary conversion fees during transfers, right?
2. a) When I move money from my Chase account into PayPal, PayPal charges a fee of 1.90% on the total amount, but I was wondering if the bank typically hits you with an additional charge for a transaction like that?
b) Once I move funds from PayPal over to DraftKings, what kind of fee does PayPal take? According to the terms DraftKings provides, they don't charge any commissions for deposits or withdrawals back to PayPal, so I'm trying to figure out where the actual cost lies.
c) Does PayPal tack on a fee when I'm withdrawing winnings from DraftKings back into my PayPal balance?
d) Finally, when I'm transferring money from PayPal back to my Chase account, PayPal charges a flat fee of $2.95. I'm assuming the bank won't charge anything extra since there's no currency conversion involved and the funds are just landing directly in my bank account, but I'd love some confirmation on that.
thanks for all the answers!
I just have one more quick question for you guys. When I'm going through the Skrill registration process, they ask whether I plan on using the account for gambling or non-gambling purposes. Which option should I pick so I don't run into any unnecessary trouble right out of the gate?
Hey everyone, I could use a little bit of advice from anyone who has experience with this kind of thing
1. Is it possible to transfer money to a Skrill account—or send funds from Skrill—using a standard domestic checking or savings account at JPMorgan Chase, or am I strictly required to use a foreign currency account?
2. Regarding Unibet specifically, is there any potential legal headache if I decide to deposit funds directly from my bank using a foreign currency debit card?
I've gathered that the real issue usually arises when you try to withdraw winnings from an online sportsbook directly back into a local bank account, which is something most people suggest avoiding entirely.
3. Following up on that second point, Unibet also offers withdrawals via Neteller. Is that essentially the same deal as Skrill, and is there any significant difference between the two that I should be aware of when it comes to getting my money out of the sportsbook and back into my own pocket?

Thanks so much, just one more thing, I'm really hoping we see someone from Mercedes step up🙂
Does anyone happen to have an update on who's been knocked out of the race so far?
I can't quite recall the exact details of what happened, but it doesn't really matter now. I sent a message over to BetMGM earlier this morning, though they haven't gotten back to me with any kind of response yet, so I'm just going to go ahead and make my deposit and see how things play out from there...
I’m not entirely sure, but if I remember correctly, I actually received an email from Bet365 once since I have an account with them, offering some kind of bonus—I think it was earlier this year. However, those bonuses aren't valid for users in America, so I figured it would be the exact same situation with BetMGM...
For the last two or three weeks, BetMGM has been offering me a bonus of $33 if I deposit $33 into my account, and I was wondering if anyone here has actually taken advantage of that or used any other promo they have running?
I just want to be absolutely certain that their bonus is valid here in the US so I don't end up depositing $33 for nothing, because I've seen how Bet365 promotes their bonuses only for people to find out later that in certain countries, including the US, you can't even use them at all.

Alright, everything is making a lot more sense to me now, thanks so much for the help! 🙂
Hey there! I have one more question regarding bet365. If I'm understanding this correctly, my Citibank foreign currency account comes with a debit card, so wouldn't I be able to just transfer funds directly from that account to my bet365 betting account using the card? That way, I wouldn't even need to touch PayPal at all. Has anyone here had any experience using bet365 with this specific payment method, or is what I'm describing actually possible?
Hey everyone! I have a quick question for those of you who have some experience using PayPal!
If I want to deposit a specific amount into my bet365 account, is the workflow basically me sending funds from my bank account over to my PayPal account first, and then transferring it from PayPal over to bet365—and then doing the exact opposite when it comes time to withdraw? I haven't really dealt with online transactions much, so if someone could just confirm whether I'm on the right track or totally off base, I'd really appreciate it!
p.s. Also, if my logic is correct, is there any major trick or anything crucial I should watch out for when handling these kinds of PayPal transactions?
