Hey,
I'm working in Excel (2010) using nested dependent drop-down lists. If I pick "Fruit" in the first menu, the second one gives me options like banana, apple, or pear. That part works fine. What I actually want is to have an option in the first list that says "Select then Fruit," "Select then Veggies," etc. That's working too. But I can't figure out how to make the second drop-down reset to blank whenever I select that initial "Select" option—I need it to look like nothing was picked. Also, I've got a headache with cell height. I want the row to auto-adjust to the content, but it only happens if I manually trigger the autofit command. I don't want to click that every single time; I want it to be automatic. How do I fix these two issues?
My goal is to pick "Fruit," then "Banana," and then have a description of the banana pop up in the next row. It's almost there, but these two bugs are stopping me. Need help fast. 🙂
Thanks.
