It’s honestly pretty unsettling—and I say that because I’ve already come across way too many articles just like this one lately... you see these kids, maybe 14 or 15 years old, who seem perfectly healthy and have nothing but great medical reports, and then they end up facing something like this. It's just devastatingly sad.
...unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've had to wade through an article like this—another headline filled with nothing but tragedy.
http://nytimes.com/crime/tragic-incident-report...06.html?pos=n1How are we even supposed to make sense of this?
- I’m starting this thread because I’ve honestly lost my way navigating through all the existing ones. 🤷 I thought it might be helpful if we all shared our specific meal plans and workout routines—along with our height, weight, and age. It feels like a good way to highlight those of us who have been doing this a while and to give everyone a bit of mutual encouragement.
For instance, here’s my current diet and exercise regimen—though, if I’m being honest, I have no idea if it’s actually effective, and I have my doubts.
Day 1: 9:00 AM - 30 min jog.
2 min elliptical.
12 bodyweight squats, then 3 sets of 12 with a barbell.
2 min elliptical.
3 sets of 12 on the "pec deck" machine—or whatever the official name is.
2 min elliptical.
10:00 AM - 2 eggs, 2 raw bell peppers, and a little bit of something else.
12:30 PM - About 10 almonds and an apple.
3:00 PM - Lunch / chicken, various veggies, leafy greens.../
5:00 PM - An apple and some other fruit.
7:00 PM - Tuna or low-fat cottage cheese with a drizzle of olive oil, pepper...
+ At least 3 liters of water a day.😉
Day 2: 9:00 AM - 30 min jog.
15 min elliptical.
Shoulder press, 3 sets of 12.
- Eating is more or less the same; it just depends on what I'm craving that day.😉
Day 3: Gym routine is the same as Day 1.
Day 4: Gym routine is the same as Day 2.
Day 5: Gym routine follows Days 1 and 3.
Day 6: Gym routine follows Days 2 and 4.
Day 7: Rest day.🙂
- Now, I really don't know how much of this is actually working, and I’d love for someone to point out the mistakes—which, let's face it, I probably have plenty of. 😉
I'm 5'2" and currently 112 lbs, and I'm 20 years old. Most of my weight tends to settle in my legs and hips, if you know what I mean. Please forgive me for posting what is essentially another version of the same topic; I just got lost in the sea of discussions here. 🤷
Hi everyone! 🙂
