Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
restlessbadger2 said:The Neuron Clinic, if I recall correctly... I had a 3T brain MRI there once. Honestly, they have the most powerful machine in the entire country. They take referrals. It's all covered under Salad through the Department of the Treasury. You should probably check with them too. 😉

Well, I booked an appointment there last summer, and they told me my slot wouldn't be until sometime in June. That means you're looking at a year-long wait! Ridiculous... If you don't absolutely need that high-end 3T magnet, I’d suggest the Mayo Clinic in Scranton instead. They accept standard insurance referrals.

I’m assuming you and your doctor managed to pin down what triggered that grand-mal seizure?
Let me know what the EEG results showed... 😉

Yeah, I had an EEG about a week after the grand-mal, and it wasn't looking great. We’re thinking I probably overdid it too much during the New Year's celebrations—basically just way too little sleep for a few days straight combined with pure exhaustion. Then the seizure hit on January 3rd... No more partying for me. It just isn't worth it... 🤣

I’m guessing this medication was prescribed to manage some kind of seizure activity—maybe related to bipolar disorder.
We have zero clue why they even bothered checking the drug concentration level in the first place:
- just routine monitoring
- the meds stopped working—no effect on the seizures anymore
- an abnormal ECG despite looking better clinically, or conversely, a normal ECG while things are clearly getting worse
- or something else entirely?

Yeah, so after going a full year without a seizure, I had a grand-mal episode. My doctor bumped up my dosage and ordered this lab work. Other than that, I've been doing fine for the last three months since that seizure—no episodes. I've got an EEG scheduled in two weeks, so we'll see how it goes...
So, I just got my first blood concentration test back for Lamotrigine, and the result shows 12.5 umol/L. Since the therapeutic range is supposed to be anywhere from 4 to 55... I'm honestly stuck. Is this actually okay, or is it way too low?

For context, I'm 21 years old and currently on Arvind 150 mg daily.

So, I just realized—my girlfriend actually works at MSFT now, though she was somewhere else before—is spinning basically just the same thing as cycling? If that's the case:
