Windows is working fine; I actually tried installing it on my other PC and everything runs perfectly.
I'm having some trouble installing Windows 7 on my old rig that's currently running Windows XP SP3. It’s an older machine, but by all accounts, it should be able to handle it. Every time I try to boot from either the DVD or the USB, I see the "Starting Windows" screen with those four colors, but then it just hangs there forever. I've tried a few times now and even sat around waiting for two hours, but nothing happens. Here are my specs:
Motherboard: ASRock 775xfire-eSATA2
CPU: Intel Pentium D 805 dual Core @ 2.66GHz
GPU: Radeon HD6450 RAM
RAM: 3GB DDR2
HDD: 160GB
Anyone know a decent monitor in the $1,000–$1,300 range? Also, any brands I should definitely steer clear of? Thanks!
