Most likely the Canon software installed poorly and needs a full reinstall. Or maybe your PC is just running low on memory. You know how much RAM/storage you've got?

Wait, can you actually go into that folder right now and try clicking the image or scan to open it? What happens then?

yeah, I am—I know where to check 🙂 checked everything... I can't even get into the folder at all..

can't do it manually, tried every way possible... anyway, I reinstalled it and it seems to be working for now, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again...

Also, when exactly does the error pop up? Is it during the scan itself or after? And what do you mean by "can't open the folder"? Can you actually find it if you go through Users? It should be buried in there somewhere. Is there anything inside it—like files with random numbers for names? Those should be your scans. Can you double-click any of them to open them?

And first things first—go check My Computer and see how much free space you've actually got on your C: drive...

The error hits right when it finishes scanning and tries to pull up the folder where the file was saved—it looks like this.

I already checked my drives and I've got plenty of space...
Gonna try the reinstall and see if that kills the error once and for all..

Hey, can anyone help me out?

My printer works fine for everything else, but whenever I try to scan a document, it won't open the folder where the file is supposed to go—it just throws an error saying there’s not enough memory. 🤔
I definitely have plenty of memory, and the folder is totally empty, so I'm stumped on how to fix this.

If anyone knows what's going on, I'd really appreciate the advice...

thanks 🙂
