I am experiencing issues with Microsoft Access again. 🙂

I was tinkering with some settings and managed to get it working a few times, but now I am stuck. When I try to enforce referential integrity in the relationships window, I receive this error: "No unique index found for the referenced field of the primary table." I am unsure where my mistake lies. If anyone is knowledgeable in this area, could you please explain the specific requirements for linking two tables via a field while ensuring that integrity is maintained?

Additionally, I need guidance on how to implement the following logic:
Prevent entering a club ID in Table 123 if that club does not exist in Table 456.
Prevent deleting a club ID in Table 456 if there is an associated competitor from that club listed in Table 123, while still allowing the ID to be modified.

Finally, I have one more question:
What is the purpose of the Lookup feature, and in what scenarios should it be utilized?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I am encountering difficulties when attempting to link tables in Access, specifically regarding the setup of Enforce Referential Integrity.

The core issue is my lack of clarity regarding the specific requirements necessary to successfully establish Integrity.

I am repeatedly receiving the following error message: "no unique index found for the reference field of the primary table."

Does anyone have insight into what might be causing this error?
