They’ve got everything—oral probiotics in different strengths, vaginal suppositories, and even those milky treatments you apply with an applicator...
Honestly, they saved me from dealing with chronic yeast infections for years. Now that I'm pregnant, all my tests come back perfectly clean.🙂

Did you just use them to clear up an infection, or were you using them for prevention too?

Well, great.

I'm not using any suppositories. Just the antibiotic.

Honestly, I have zero clue what the actual science behind it is, but I know from experience that when I take these oral probiotics while on antibiotics, it helps prevent yeast infections from moving in... at least for me, though I can't speak for everyone else. 🤷

I’d also love to hear a logical, coherent explanation of how this actually works.

Can you use Vagisil suppositories to balance out the flora while taking Metronidazole orally for Gardnerella? Or is it better to finish the antibiotic course first before using the suppositories?

What a load of nonsense. You swallow an antibiotic by mouth, right? And yet, somehow, it finds its way exactly where it needs to go. It’s the same deal with everything else—you take a pill for any other ailment and it just works...

What do you guys think are actually the best options out there? I keep seeing Lactogyn tablets and Vagisan suppositories mentioned everywhere. If my microflora is totally out of whack and needs fixing, which one works faster and more effectively? Is Vagisan the way to go since it’s a 7-day course, whereas you have to take Lactogyn for much longer... Should I be using both at the same time? Or would that actually end up doing more harm than good?

I heard an exam with him runs about $700, while the doctor's fee is $560 for the exact same thing. Besides the fact that Dr. unknown is a huge expert, what is he actually like during the appointment? Especially during a Pap smear? There are such massive differences between doctors, and since that’s hands down my absolute worst exam, I need to find the best one out there...

Has anyone here actually been to see her? There’s a certain doctor working there now who used to be over at unknown... I'm trying to figure out if she's any good. What's her vibe as a physician? A standard checkup, Pap smear, and ultrasound with her would run me $187.
