Biopsy at the geneticist's office in Health ·
So, I’m dealing with some heart issues, and on top of that, my skin and joints are incredibly stretchy. Doctors suspect it might be Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or one of its milder variations. Dr. Bell has referred me to a geneticist to figure out the best surgical approach for my specific situation. They’ll be running blood tests and taking tissue samples over the next two or three months. I was hoping someone could explain how the tissue sampling actually works—what kind of anesthesia is used, the procedure itself, etc. To be honest, I’m pretty anxious about it; just thinking about it gives me the chills. 🤷
