I was originally thinking I’d have someone drop me off there and then just ride my bike back myself, but now I’m second-guessing everything... Like, am I even allowed to cross the border while wearing the gear I’m trying to get a tax refund on? Or is it better if I just suck it up and pay the full price without the tax break? I had a friend try to claim a VAT refund on a jacket she was actually wearing when she hit customs, and the agents absolutely lost their minds—they were yelling about how you can't be wearing the stuff because it’s supposed to be unused when it crosses the border. Anyway, the bike is Scottish 🙂

Hey, sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else, but I’m trying to figure out if I’ll get hit with customs fees if I import a bike from Canada. Like, how much of a sting am I looking at for something valued around $820? Thanks, everyone! :-)
