Sofia Coppola gives us a look at this true story about a group of teenagers—obsessed with their idols—who start breaking into celebrity homes to swipe high-end jewelry and cash.
Emma Watson and her crew basically use magazines and TV interviews as a shopping list, figuring out exactly what celebrities own before picking their targets.
Once they pull off a heist, these kids head straight to the mall or hit up those flashy Hollywood clubs.
The character played by Emma Watson is actually based on Alexis Neiers—one of the ringleaders—who ended up landing her own reality show after the arrests, though she was back in legal trouble by 2010 over cocaine possession.
Some of the victims include names like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, and Orlando Bloom.
