I have a quick question regarding the HP OfficeJet Pro. It’s been sitting on my desk for quite a while now; I actually picked it up right when it first hit the shelves. I've always stuck to genuine ink, never even thought about using third-party replacements. However, I'm running into some printing issues lately, which likely happened because the machine sat idle for a month or more at a time. I've tried running the maintenance cycles and head alignments, but nothing seems to work—the ink levels are fine, yet the results are poor.
So, what's the best move here? Should I just bite the bullet and buy something new, or try to tinker with this old unit a bit longer (maybe someone out there would want to buy it?)? I happened to see an HP Envy 5000 at the store today for about $147, and they're marketing it as the top choice right now.
P.S. The printer isn't worn out at all; if anything, it's practically brand new. It has only printed about ten photos and a few hundred pages total.
