I was also just wondering what your thoughts are on the ASUS P45 motherboard...

I have a nagging feeling my motherboard might be on its last legs, but I'm really hoping everything stays stable for now...🙂

I finally got it sorted out. When I booted the PC into Safe Mode, the loading process just hung on an AVG file. I managed to get the computer running long enough to delete the AVG folder, and now everything is working perfectly. It doesn't make much sense to me why that happened, but it is what it is. As long as it works... Thanks again 😁

I tried swapping out the cable too, but still nothing... :/ I'm honestly at a loss for what else to try. Might have to look into getting a different motherboard since I don't have any spares on hand... thanks for all the help 🙂

So, I tried swapping in a second hard drive and attempting a fresh Windows install from a disc, but it just loads the CD and then freezes right on the logo...

Hey everyone, I could really use some help with Windows 7. I installed everything about a month ago and it was working perfectly until yesterday. Now, whenever I boot up, it gets through the initial startup but just freezes right on the logo. It’s the same story even if I try Safe Mode, Startup Repair, or even attempting a fresh install on a completely different hard drive... I've already tried swapping out the RAM and resetting the CMOS thinking that might be the culprit, but no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...
