When I download tracks from the web, they land in my "Downloads" folder, and then I move them over to my music directory. How do I manage the icons? They always default to alphabetical order, which is infuriating when I'm trying to listen to music in my car. Right-click > Sort by... I've tried every single option available, and nothing works. Is it possible to organize them manually like on a Windows desktop, where once you set the order, it actually stays that way? Thanks.
When I pasted this text into the thread, several words were flagged with red underlines. Now, of course, they’ve just vanished from the Reddit post entirely.
One more question: How do I get rid of those underlines appearing under certain words? Sometimes they're red, sometimes they're green.
We live off the sea and the nets In Boise, we toil with the oars and the machines Our eyes are weary from nights spent in tears Our hands grow hard from the rocky shores And we face the strikes of wind and rain Each day, our backs bend further under the strain Yet, more than any comfort or ease For this life of Caleb's, we love the sea
I need some help here. I'm working on a document that’s about a hundred pages long, and now I'm trying to put together a table of contents at the end. I'm using Word 7. It currently looks like this:
text line one..................................... ............... 1 text line two...................................... .............. 2 text line three.................................... ................ 3 text line four..................................... .............. 4 text line five..................................... ................ 5 text line six...................................... ................ 6 text line seven.................................... ................ 7
How do I get these page numbers to align perfectly in a straight column?
One more thing: regarding page numbers—when I'm scrolling through, I want the left-hand page to have its number in the bottom left corner, and the right-hand page to have its number in the bottom right. I can't seem to make that work no matter what I try. Thanks.
So, you search for San Francisco on Google Images. You find a thumbnail you like and decide you want to print it at 50x50cm. Naturally, when you zoom in, the image turns into a blurry mess. Does a solution exist? Is there actually a program out there that can fix this and bring an image back to life? Because graphic designers keep telling me it’s impossible to sharpen it. Come on. There is software for everything these days—surely there isn't a gap in the market for this? Any ideas? Thanks.
Can someone walk me through the proper way to sharpen a knife? Right now, it’s only considered sharp if I can shred paper into tiny bits. What kind of whetstones or sandpaper grits am I supposed to be using, and where can I actually pick them up? What is the full sequence of steps required to get a blade truly sharp?
I’ve run into an issue, assuming there even is a solution. Lately, I’ve been downloading lyrics from various artists, and in this specific case, I'm using a chorus by Zečič: If I have to be the first to say it, I still love you, I'm still crazy for you. I turned my back on happiness with him, but I can't tell him goodbye. I'm still crazy for you 2X
That "2X" notation implies the entire chorus should be repeated twice, yet some people interpret it as only repeating the final line. The ideal way to format this would look like this:
If I have to be the first to say it, I still love you, I'm still crazy for you. I turned my back on happiness with him, } 2X but I can't tell him goodbye. I'm still crazy for you
Here is the problem. When I use a curly bracket and input a value like 100 (since that should roughly cover the whole chorus), the entire text just stretches out—it looks ridiculous and serves no purpose. Even if that actually worked, what happens with a four-line chorus? It means I'd have to manually move the curly bracket up and down, but how? Is my only option to jump into PAINT, which just makes the job much harder? Thanks.
Has anyone here actually tried ear candling? How does one even go about doing that, and what’s the actual result? Also, when stepping outside during those first few days, is it necessary to use earplugs or is it overkill?
Does an actually EFFECTIVE hair removal cream or ointment even exist in this world, or is every single advertisement just a blatant lie? Sometimes the price tag is the least of my concerns if a product is truly HIGH-QUALITY.
Can someone please provide specific instructions on how to perform cupping therapy? There is information online, but nothing detailed enough. What is used to ignite the cup? How long should the flame be held? Where exactly should they be placed on the body—I assume you wouldn't put them directly on the spine—and how many minutes should they remain in place? I have also heard about using salt and vinegar, specifically heating salt and applying it to the lower back. Does anyone have experience with this? I am dealing with inflammation, likely from a cold or some other ailment. A few days ago, my back seized up; I can barely sit down or stand up. I know my own body, and I know these flare-ups come in cycles—I might feel fine for six months or even a year before the stiffness returns again.
I can't quite recall where I saw it, but I know the text was embedded inside an image, and it was all in Italian. I used a screenshot to pull it into Microsoft Word, but since it’s still just a picture, I have no clue how to "break" that text apart so I can actually edit the letters.
Whenever I try to copy content from a webpage, the system won't let me use /copy/. Instead, I end up taking a PrtSc and saving the file into my Documents. This just leaves me with an image rather than actual text. Is there a specific program I can use to extract the letters from the image so they aren't stuck as a picture? I need to be able to edit them as I see fit or, for instance, run them through Google Translate, which obviously doesn't work with an image. Any help would be appreciated.
