I’ve been placing bets over at DraftKings for quite a while now.
But it wasn't until today that I actually realized they let you parlay an NBA game outcome with the total points scored in that very same matchup.🤣
Even our local neighborhood sportsbooks don't offer anything like that, and honestly, I don't think I've seen anyone else allowing those kinds of combinations anywhere else.
I remember once upon a time, maybe a few years back, a place like FanDuel used to let you combine things like Team 1's total points with Team 2's total points, but they pulled that feature pretty quickly.
It’s certainly an interesting quirk. If they ever decided to start letting us parlay individual NBA player props with the game result, or even player vs. player stats, wouldn't that just be incredible?

Since we’re already deep into the weeds with our overs and unders this season, I figured I’d toss another unpolished gem into the mix for those hunting unders—take a look at QPR over in the English Championship, currently being managed by Harry Redknapp.
They’ve been sitting on a goal difference of 12:2 through ten matches this season.
They’ve only conceded a goal in two of those outings—just a 1:1 and a 2:1—and if you look at their last ten fixtures, nine of them have stayed under the 2.5 mark...

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, let me see if I can simplify it.

With -2.75, am I winning if FC Barcelona wins by 4 goals or more? And if they only win by 3, do I just get 50% of my stake back?

And for -2.25, is it a win if FC Barcelona wins by 3 or more? If they only win by 2, does that mean 50% of the bet is refunded?

I have a question regarding Asian handicaps.
Since I recently made the switch over to an offshore sportsbook—specifically the much-hyped FanDuel.😁🙂

Now, obviously, I fully grasp how standard handicaps work.
Take, for instance, a matchup like the Lakers-Celtics.

For a standard handicap of -2.5, they’re offering odds of 3.00.
It's perfectly clear to me that this means the Lakers need to win by three goals or more to cover.
And a -2.0 handicap also implies they need that three-goal cushion, but if they happen to win by exactly two, my stake gets pushed back to me, essentially making the odds 1.0.🤷

But the real question I'm wrestling with involves those Asian handicaps.
For example, FanDuel has these options listed:

a handicap of -2.75 at 3.55

or

a handicap of -2.25 at 2.65

or

a handicap of -1.75 at 2.00

or

a handicap of -1.25 at 1.65

or maybe even something like

+ 0.25 at 1.09

So, if someone could walk me through the logic of these Asian handicaps a bit more clearly, I'd appreciate it.
The only thing I really understand is that you get a percentage of your money back if the result lands exactly one goal short of the target...☕

Also, just a quick side note regarding withdrawals on FanDuel.
They show an option to deposit funds using a high voltage debit card.
And it claims that withdrawals can be made back to that same high voltage card, which I'm curious about because none of the domestic sportsbooks here allow withdrawals via debit card.

Has anyone here who actually has an account there tried withdrawing directly to a debit card? Does it always take that 3 to 5 day window, or does it sometimes land on a specific day predictably? Or does everyone just stick to using PayPal?😁

The reason I’m putting these single bets together is pretty straightforward, really... QPR has been stuck in the relegation zone for what feels like an eternity now, and at this stage, survival in the Premier League matters infinitely more to them than some random cup run that just adds more fixtures to an already exhausted schedule and drains their focus from the real fight for survival.

West Brom is a decent enough side, the kind of team that, if they happen to be having one of those rare good days, can actually pull off an upset against the heavy hitters.

Still, I’m expecting a gritty, tight affair with maybe just one or two goals on the board—something like a 1-0 or 2-0—and a West Brom victory.

You could see it in their recent performances, though; Redknapp has really tightened up that defense, and honestly, that defensive structure is probably the only thing keeping their Premier League hopes alive right now.☕

The home side is basically in a freefall right now, isn't there? They've managed to scrape together only two goals over their last five league matches, which really doesn't leave much room for deep analysis. I’ve caught them on stream twice over the last month, and honestly, they’re playing well below their supposed standard. I'm expecting a very capable Toulouse side to walk away with at least a point from this one.

It’s essentially a desperate scrap between two clubs just trying to stay afloat in the standings.
Reading’s defense is a total mess, but then again, their attack is decent enough to find the back of the net against pretty much any bottom-tier team you put in front of them.
And if you look at the history, the last three meetings between these two ended 2-1. A pattern, I suppose?
In my book, if this isn't a "gift" bet, it's certainly a very tempting one to ride with.

I get that the priority should be on American athletics and shows featuring our own local stars, but why shouldn't they occasionally throw in some international sports here and there?

If we were being strictly literal about sticking to American sports, I guess we'd have to go back and air that old basketball playoff final too...🤷

It’d be nice if we could actually get some of the big stuff sorted out for streaming down the road—you know, the essentials like the NBA, MLB, NFL, and NHL. Maybe even throw in a couple of soccer matches every week, perhaps some South American leagues or just a few highlights from the top European divisions. It would also be pretty great to see more coverage for things like poker, billiards, snooker, and a wider variety of tennis tournaments, like the US Open or the ATP tour.

I don't mean everything, obviously... but having even a fraction of this on the schedule wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

To start off, they aren't half bad, and I have a feeling things are only going to keep scaling up from here.
