Hey everyone... just dropping in to say hello...
So, I was looking over my X-ray results earlier today, and there’s this specific note written on the report... So, I was looking over some medical stuff earlier, and I came across this note about sclerosis on the irregular edges of a 14 mm area in the right iliac bone... it’s one of those things that sounds much more intimidating than it probably is, though I suppose when you're staring at clinical terms, everything feels a bit heavy... basically, it's just showing some thickening or hardening of the bone along those uneven margins in the right hip area... nothing to lose sleep over without talking to a doctor, I'd imagine, but it's funny how a tiny little measurement like that can make you pause for a second... anyway, just a bit of technical jargon to digest...
Does anyone actually know what this means? My doctor sent me off to get some blood markers checked out, but I can't help wondering if there's any other way to read into it... just sitting here overthinking everything, I suppose...

Anyone else have any fresh thoughts on this topic lately? I feel like I've been staring at it for too long...

First off, thanks for getting back to me. It’s clear you actually know your stuff, so if you don't mind me asking... do you think I should go see a physical therapist about all this? My primary care doctor isn't exactly losing sleep over my spine; he just tells me to keep up with the exercises for my scoliosis and pelvic tilt, handing me that same old sheet of standard movements every time, so I'm a bit unsure how he'd react if I asked for a referral to a specialist for my pelvis specifically... But honestly, I can feel things getting worse with my back, especially this sensation in my abdomen... it feels like I'm hunched inward, almost like all my organs are being squeezed right under my ribs whenever I sit down :/

I honestly can't wrap my head around the idea that this could ever go back to normal, so hearing that it's possible is such a relief! 🙂🙂
The only thing weighing on me is that when I look online, I only find maybe four or five specific exercises, which means the whole stretching routine would only take about ten minutes a day... is that really enough to make a difference? 😕

I guess I'll just jump in here instead of starting a whole new thread, though I think I might be dealing with posterior pelvic tilt too...
For instance, when I’m trying to stretch—you know, that move where you sit on the floor, spread your legs, and reach forward—if I catch my profile in a mirror, it’s so obvious how tilted my pelvis is. I can't seem to straighten my back at all in that position; it just looks like this http://yogamechanic.com/wp-content/u...erior-tilt.png
or maybe more like this http://www.natural-solutions-for-mus...elvic-tilt.jpg (the image on the far left)

The thing is, I don't really feel any pain while I'm sitting incorrectly, but the second I actually try to sit up straight and hold it for a while, my lower back starts acting up... plus, I also have that hyperlordosis issue in my spine. I'm honestly torn between booking an appointment with a physical therapist or just trying to find some corrective exercises online and seeing if they work
.
Has anyone else gone through this? Like, is it even possible to fully fix a posterior pelvic tilt with regular stretching and workouts? Or even if it doesn't go away completely, could I at least get to a point where I can sit normally and keep my lower back straight... It's fine by me if it takes ten years, I just want to be able to sit properly without the struggle...
