So, I was thinking about heading out for a quick thirty-minute jog. At the end of the day, if there aren't any people around, there's no way to spread the virus, right? Which means there's really no risk of me catching anything or passing it on to someone else.
The thing is, you always end up bumping into someone—it's just how it goes—so if I were actually in isolation, I wouldn't risk it (even though I run regularly). Honestly, my biggest fear isn't getting sick, it's accidentally infecting someone else since most of the folks around here are elderly. My place is right by the road, and I can basically drive down to the beach in minutes. There's even a path above the shore where the owners only show up for a month during the summer.
When you really think about it, maybe it's better to just shut up and stay home. People get these half-baked ideas—"let's just hit the beach" or "just a quick walk in the park"—and suddenly you've got a crowd of people breaking quarantine and wandering all over the place.
They say they're having a massive issue with that in Italy, and honestly, we Dalmatians have pretty much the same mindset—we're just as undisciplined.😁
I’m not in quarantine right now, but if I end up stuck at home, can I legally head down to the beach right across the street—like, just hop on my boat and go fishing? I live on the edge of this tiny coastal town where basically nobody shows up during the winter, so I could easily get to my boat without getting within 50 feet of anyone else. My boat isn't even at a public marina; it's parked at a little spot on the water where there isn't another soul for miles.
I’ve totally overhauled my diet over the last few days—lots of veggie stews, lentils, fresh fish soup, chicken, fruit, nuts... you name it. I've also been drinking a glass of probiotics with flaxseed oil morning and night (saw it online somewhere😁). Digestion feels okay overall, but for some reason, the first bit is always hard as a rock—total damage every single morning. It's like something down there isn't breathing right, so air gets in and just dries everything out😬
As for meds, I grabbed a small pack of Pfizer tablets just to test the waters—on day three now. Honestly, when you're desperate, you'll try anything. Besides, they're natural and don't have side effects, and usually, I stay far away from pills of any kind.
After using Tylenol for a couple of days, I tried applying some Hemopropin ointment several times a day, but that stuff is a terrible choice for a fissure. It’s way too aggressive and always burned like hell—I think it actually made things worse. Switched back to Tylenol since it's much milder. I tried the suppositories too, but everything is so swollen and ulcerated that they just won't stay in
Had a relatively painless bathroom trip today, but the pain hung around all day—still not great, though definitely better than yesterday's absolute agony.
Still gotta try a chamomile soak
Everything was under control while I was staying active with sports, but then I went on a few trips at the end of summer, let myself go, and basically drowned in alcohol. Everything went south immediately. Once this episode passes, if it even does, I really need to get my life together and fix my habits because this is terrifying. I've been stuck inside for the last 15 days suffering—completely useless, frustrated, and honestly, losing my mind.
I didn't even know an anal fistula was a thing, but I just did some digging and—honestly? Based on everything I'm feeling, it’s definitely that. I’ve been dying all day long—started eating less, which means I'm barely even going...😁, but nothing is touching this pain. It's absolutely killing me🙂
Hey everyone, looking for some advice or a helping hand here.
I’ve been dealing with internal hemorrhoids for about 7 or 8 years now—it wasn't a huge deal before, just popped up once or twice a year and went away quickly. They've always bled, though, and they usually hurt like hell.
But about a month and a half ago, things escalated—it got so painful and bloody I actually had to start using ointments and suppositories for the first time. I guess it's finally getting worse.
The Faktu stuff actually worked for a few days, and everything seemed fine until about ten days ago when the real agony started—and it hasn't let up since. Basically, every bathroom trip is brutal—pain, bleeding, the whole nine yards. I've been using Faktu for a week straight after I go, but nothing's working. A few days back, I switched over to Hemeroprotekt, but honestly, it's not any better.
After I'm done, I just have to lie down—I'm in pain for like 7 to 10 hours at a time some days. Walking helps a little bit, but man, I'm just exhausted and too drained to get anything done.
I'm thinking the culprit is my lifestyle—not moving enough, sitting too much, my diet, and this weird, chronic digestion situation where I swing between long bouts of diarrhea and rock-hard stools. I'm not even overweight or anything.
My digestion is actually okay right now—I hit the restroom every day between 11 AM and noon, which has been consistent all year—but the issue is the very beginning of the stool😁 that comes out. It’s always hard as a rock, and it just tears everything up right as it starts to heal from the night before.
So, my questions:
-What can I do to make sure the entire stool is soft, so that initial "rock" doesn't happen?
-What should I be eating, and what should I stay away from?
-Any specific meds? Should I try Pilex tablets—yes or no?
-In this kind of shape, is it better to just lie down or should I try to move around a bit—like walking or staying on my feet?
-Which doctor or clinic should I see? I need someone legit, not some scammers just looking to drain my bank account—p.s. money isn't the issue.
I just want to fix this once and for all, or at least get some relief for a while.
The catch is my job—there's nobody to cover for me, so I have to power through at least until New Year's, and ideally until Easter, before I look into any kind of surgery.
Help me out, please! Thanks!
Hey everyone—so, I’m rocking two laptops right now. One’s a little lightweight thing I carry around for college classes, and the other is basically acting as my desktop since it just sits there on my desk. Between school and my job in tourism—which involves a mountain of Office docs, photos, videos, you name it—I really need a way to link these two up. I need my files accessible on both machines without having to play the "USB stick shuffle" every five minutes.
What’s the best way to pull this off? Speed is cool, and reliability is a must, but honestly, I just want something dead simple that won't give me a headache.
We're talking files up to about 500 MB; anything bigger than that, I'll just move manually.
Most of the heavy lifting—editing photos, video work, all that—will be happening on my home laptop.
thanks
hmm interesting idea—I actually plugged a drive into my Cisco router and the interface sees it, but now I'm totally lost on how to actually get to the files.
Anyone got a sec to help me out?
thanks
edit: managed to pull it up on my PC, still gotta figure out how to stream it to the TV.
Edit 2: nope, this is garbage... it's painfully slow.
Are these NAS setups even fast enough to play a 20GB movie without it stuttering like crazy?
Hey everyone—my movie collection is getting out of hand, so I’m looking for a way to store everything that lets me stream from my PC or directly to my TV without the headache.
Right now, my workflow is a total pain: I move files from my internal drive to a 2TB Seagate external, unplug it, and shove it into the TV whenever I feel like watching something. Honestly, I'm bored of this constant shuffling—plus, the 2TB drive is already maxed out, so buying another one just adds more clutter to the mess.
Maybe there's a way to plug something into my PC via cable that broadcasts over Wi-Fi so the TV can just pick it up? Or something along those lines?
Everything is in the same apartment, so I don't strictly need remote access, though having it wouldn't hurt.
The TV is a Sony Android model.
Thanks
Hey everyone—I’m thinking about ditching my desktop since it’s basically just taking up space, so I'm moving to a laptop setup. I need some advice on external storage that doesn't have to be plugged in 24/7, but stays ready for when I actually need to plug it in and go.
Does everything have to run through USB, or can I use a LAN connection to get those faster transfer speeds?
Is there anything compact enough to hold maybe two or three drives with several terabytes each?
I'll admit, I'm a bit of a tech dinosaur here—so if you guys could help a guy out, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
