Protest against thread locking

Please refrain from calling people puritans; this was a technical issue, not a moral one.
There’s really no reason for anyone to apologize, especially since you admitted in your opening post that you were starting this pointless poll (thread) just because you were bored. It isn't our job to indulge boredom or nonsense; our goal is to maintain the continuity and substance of the PDF.
The thread remains open for now, provided the rest of the staff agrees, so feel free to join the discussion.
I humbly apologize, but I haven't really noticed a pattern where threads get locked before we actually determine if they deserve to be closed. It might have been better to handle it that way first. ☕
The apology thing was just a joke, honestly, because it doesn't really matter to me.
If we aren't going to tolerate boredom or nonsense, you could probably lock about 80% of the topics on this entire forum without any trouble. ☕So, that's my take on that "argument."
It's a little hard to fully enjoy things when a few mods tend to kill the vibe... but it's good to know that most of you are rational and know what you're doing. ☕Cheers, and thanks to the other mods.
