Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Does anyone happen to know which recent version of Visual Studio actually plays nice with Windows 7 Ultimate?

I’ve been doing some digging, scrolling through forums and poking around online, but I just can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere.

Thanks for the tip. I went ahead and installed Chrome, and honestly, it seems pretty solid so far. We'll just have to see how it holds up once I really start putting it through its paces.😉

So, I'm clicking this link to a USA Today article, right? And it starts loading just fine, totally normal, but then—boom—two seconds later, it kicks me straight to whatever this mess in the screenshot is. It’s super annoying because it isn't just happening there; I'll be browsing other sites or even just doing a quick Google search and sometimes—not all the time, but enough to be a pain—it just pulls this same stunt on me.

So, I’ve been running into this super weird thing lately. Whenever I try to load certain websites—and I mean totally different ones, not just one specific site—everything seems fine for maybe two or three seconds. Then, out of nowhere, the page just... refreshes itself? But instead of going back to where I was, it kicks me straight to a Google search results page filled with a bunch of random junk, weird code snippets, and ads that have nothing to do with what I was looking for (kind of like what you see in the pic here).

I honestly thought my PC had been hijacked by some nasty malware, so I ran a full scan with Malwarebytes, but it came up totally clean. My antivirus didn't flag anything either. I even tried updating Java and did a complete reinstall of Chrome, but nothing worked. I've been scouring the internet for an answer, but I can't find anything that matches what's happening to me.

I'm running Windows 10, using Chrome, and I've got Norton installed.

Monaco vs Toulouse (-3+) Over 2.90

Both these sides just love playing open, attacking football. Now, look, it’s probably a stretch to think Toulouse is actually going to charge right through a Monaco side that looks like they're on a mission, but let's be real—their whole vibe isn't really built for sitting back and parking the bus. Monaco has been absolutely flying lately; they look sharp, aggressive, and honestly, pretty lethal. I mean, Rivere has already bagged 4 goals in just two matches. He actually said himself, "Opposing defenses are all obsessed with marking Falcao, which just leaves me with way more room to work my magic." I've got a feeling the guy is just going to keep trucking along. Plus, since he used to play for Toulouse, he knows exactly what they're capable of. If Falcao keeps chipping in with at least one goal a game, Toulouse might actually walk away happy with just four goals on the board, kind of like how Montpellier fared a couple weeks ago.
It’s honestly nothing new, right? The quality of the Hollywood film industry has just been circling the drain for ages—I’d even go as far as saying this started back in the late nineties. Since we hit the new millennium, it feels like every single year the number of actually, genuinely good movies just keeps shrinking. And the last two or three years? Man, I think they finally hit rock bottom. There’s just no good cinema left out there. Seriously, if anyone can name a decent movie for me, tell me Inception so I can give you a high five or something.

Like I said, it’s not like we haven't been complaining about this forever.

So, here’s what I’m wondering: What do you guys think needs to happen? We’ve got the actors, we’ve got the directors, and the tech is better than it's ever been in history, yet the soul is missing. How do we actually get the industry back on its feet? How do we find fresh, original ideas again? Like, what's gotta change so we can experience another masterpiece like 2001: A Space Odyssey, or Deer Hunter, or Taxi Driver, or The Godfather, or maybe even Pulp Fiction?
