Is anyone else feeling increasingly uneasy about the weather lately?
in The World Around Us ·
Does anyone else feel like the "once in a lifetime" weather events are happening every other week now? I was looking out my window during that last big cell that rolled through, and it just felt... different. More aggressive. It’s not just the usual summer thunderstorms anymore; there’s this heavy, unpredictable tension in the air that makes you want to double-check your basement drains and flashlights every single time the sky turns that weird shade of bruised purple.
I remember growing up, a storm meant staying inside with a book and listening to the rain hit the roof. Now, it feels like a genuine source of anxiety. You see the warnings popping up on your phone, and suddenly you're wondering if the roads are even safe to be on or if your power is going to cut out right when you're in the middle of something important. It’s exhausting to constantly be on high alert.
I'm curious if you guys are actually prepping for these things more seriously, or if you've just reached a point of "weather fatigue" where you've stopped worrying because it feels like it's always something?
