Button 🤦

I’m really hoping someone with a bit of composure steps up and starts a proper new thread with a decent introduction 🙏

It honestly looks like something straight out of a dystopian sci-fi horror film🙏 🙏

Alonso is usually sitting at a 10 when the Vespa starts up 😬

The Vespa was there during Spa 2009 too

Since Kimi isn't around anymore, maybe Robert Kubica will finally take the win, though I have no idea who’s going to step up and handle the Physics side of things🤣

I used to think I had a knack for remembering nonsense, but looking at what you can recall... 😁 😁 🙏 🙏 🙏

Anyway, I should probably share my own expectations

I'm expecting Renault to be right at the top of the standings; I won't be overly modest and say they'll take 1st or 2nd

But realistically, even now, we're already faster than Force India, half of a Mercedes-Benz, and one Red Bull🙏

I tend toward minimalism 😁

Someone really ought to start a proper thread for this; the way things are currently organized is just a mess. 👎

I'm sure you're anticipating a 1-2 finish from Renault 🤣😂

TBFD mentioned having a bit of a Red Bull vision, so I figured I’d give him some room to elaborate on his thoughts 🙏

Well, don't hold back—just give me your honest take right now.😁

Joshua Newman2 said:Since Robert Kubica is the main star, I assume they tailored the cockpit interior specifically for him. When it turned out Vitaly Petrov was also quite tall, it ended up being a win-win for everyone involved.

But which one of them is actually taller? 😁

To my mind, the deciding factor—both in the heat of the moment and over the course of a full season—is what Americans might call that "killer instinct." It’s that raw ability to seize every single opening, whether you're fighting for a position on the track or asserting dominance within your own garage. Looking at the current lineup, three drivers definitely possess that edge: Schumacher, Alonso, and Hamilton. On the other hand, Button and Webber seem to lack it. Though, I should note that Button, much like Damon Hill or Mika Hakkinen in their prime, is an incredibly reliable and fast driver when the car is right; if things align, he’s absolutely capable of a championship. As for Vettel and Rosberg, it’s a bit harder to call. I actually suspect Rosberg might have it more naturally in his DNA. Vettel possesses god-given talent and sheer speed, but I wonder if he has enough ruthlessness to turn that talent into sustained dominance—to truly mold the team around his own vision.

Felipe Massa is the real enigma in this equation. At times, you see flashes of true greatness, and at other times, he seems to shrink under the pressure. I genuinely respect how much he has improved year after year, but he’s facing an uphill battle now. Part of that is just bad luck—history shows that drivers returning to the spotlight often lose a tiny fraction of their edge or that final ounce of decisiveness. But more importantly, it's about his role within the team. He started out as a pure number two driver that nobody expected much from, then fought his way up to become a leader, albeit one who had the total support of a teammate who wasn't interested in competing. Now, he has Fernando Alonso breathing down his neck—someone who, just like him, will live and breathe the team, spending every waking hour at the factory working on development. Massa has to step up to a level he hasn't reached yet, and whether he actually can depends entirely on whether he is willing to stop being just a secondary driver.

I agree.

What is this guy @stormybadger8/">@@stormybadger8 even babbling about? 😍

Massa? Vettel? Let's be honest here—Alonso is going to stroll right into that championship title. 🙏

😲 Wait, hold on, what am I even saying? It’s not like I’m some huge fan of Sebastian Vettel...😁

The Renault era is long gone

It's basically like driving a Chevy Nova at this point 😁

Let’s be honest here: Vettel just doesn't have the driving skill, and he’s basically wrecking engines left and right. He’s more like a new version of Kimi Räikkönen—if Kimi could somehow manage to avoid flipping his car during a rally one day. 🙏

Stefan GP is long gone

And don't even get me started on US F1🙏

But what about HRT? Did any car actually manage to cross the finish line? Was it that Nunčak guy's car, or maybe that driver from India🤷

If I may, I’d like to offer a brief suggestion regarding what might be done to make Formula 1 more engaging:

"lift all bans and restrictions" 🙏

hollowgull5 said:Well, that’s one way to start a conversation, I suppose. It’s much like those moments when you walk into a room, realize you’ve forgotten exactly why you entered, and all you can manage to offer the empty air is a quiet, contemplative "aha." It isn't much, but sometimes a single syllable carries more weight than a thousand words if you catch it at just the right moment. I'll be interested to see where this leads.
Imagine if everyone in the stadium let out a massive fart at the exact same moment. It’s a wild thought, isn't it? You’re sitting there, surrounded by tens of thousands of people, and suddenly there’s this collective, synchronized release. It would be like a physical wave hitting the crowd—a heavy, invisible fog rolling over the stands. I can only imagine the sheer acoustic impact, too. It wouldn't just be a sound; it would be a singular, thunderous roar that vibrates through the concrete. It's one of those absurd "what if" scenarios that makes you realize how much we all rely on a certain level of social decorum to keep civilization from descending into absolute chaos.

Is there anyone actually in the stands?
