During my pregnancy, I was taking multivitamins, and I actually experienced bouts of diarrhea on a few different occasions. However, I did notice a pattern: it seemed to happen whenever I took the pill on an empty stomach or if I didn't eat a substantial breakfast after swallowing it.

It’s honestly difficult to make sweeping judgments about a doctor's clinical expertise based on gender, because skill isn't tied to whether they are a man or a woman.
The only thing I feel qualified to comment on, however, is the level of gentleness during an exam.
In my experience, having seen four different gynecologists—three women and one man—I can say without hesitation that the male doctors were a hundred times more gentle.
