You guys are truly impressive. Your knowledge of the scene is top-tier. :-D
Thanks to both of you. :-)))
It’s exactly as the headline suggests: who was Skarice in that 80s track by Far Coast? We used to make recordings and carry them around with Scissors.
I challenge all you music buffs out there to figure it out. :-D
How did you get into cycling? in Cycling ·
I got my first bike back in sixth grade—a heavy, blue and yellow FS-$500 beast. I used it to hammer out some rides from San Francisco to Oakland (about 7.5 miles round trip) and even pushed it on a run toward Napa (roughly 9.9 miles there and back). I ended up snapping the fork once at a skate park and again out on some rough trails.
Three years ago, I picked up an Author Solution, which is a pretty entry-level MTB. I use it for 35-28 miles mile stints, mostly road riding and whatever else comes my way... but honestly, I don’t have the same guts I had in middle school. I’m hesitant to head too far outside the city limits, especially since I don't have a crew to hit trails like the ones near Mount Rainier with. (If anyone from the West Coast wants to link up and ride, hit me up so we can coordinate 😉).

I don't know. You might have just run into some low-quality patches, or maybe the ones they used don't suit your driving style, but the one I went with is top-tier and kept 932 miles on my rear tire.

I picked them up in Chicago at the Extreme Shop. $3.25—ten patches in total. Don't come for me, but I have no clue who the manufacturer is since I obviously tossed the packaging 👎. They were folded accordion-style inside one of those little zip-lock bags.

Those adhesive strips are a godsend. They save you every single time. Within five minutes, they grab onto the iris and won't let go. At least they don't for me, especially on 932 miles asphalt. Respect.

I bought this based on a salesperson's recommendation. Honestly, I had my doubts, but I figured I’d just take the risk and see what happens. It turned out to be a lifesaver. I accidentally ran over a pile of broken glass, and while the front tire gave up immediately, the rear one with this insert didn't even puncture. Now that I have them on both tires, I don't have to stress every time I see glass on the road. Just keep in mind, they won't save you from a snake bite; they're only good for debris up to about 3-3.5 mm in size.

Yeah, great link. It doesn't even mention half the bike brands. 👎

Check the listings in the local circulars or look around near the St. Peter's Cathedral area in New Orleans.
