Is it just me, or does the "next man up" philosophy feel a lot more stressful when you're actually following a team closely?

I was watching some clips from the preseason last night, and it really hit me how quickly a season can pivot based on something as small as a single muscle strain. You spend all summer thinking you have a settled rotation or a clear hierarchy, and then suddenly, the entire depth chart gets thrown into a blender. It’s never just about the star players; it’s about those guys fighting for a spot who suddenly find themselves thrust into the spotlight because of bad luck.

It makes me wonder if coaches are actually prepared for these sudden shifts, or if they're just making it up as they go like the rest of us. When a key piece of the defensive puzzle goes down, do you think it's better to lean on a veteran who knows the system, or do you take the gamble on a young player who might have more upside?

As for general availability, you can find rackets pretty much anywhere. When I was first starting out, I picked up a Carlton model from Getro—just some aluminum one for about fifteen bucks—and it actually held up quite well.
The folks over at the shop carrying Victor's rackets on New Road also stock specific Badminton shoes and other essentials.

What kind of prices are we talking about for rackets at the Fairgrounds?
