Has anyone used progesterone for missed periods? Did you deal with any side effects? I’ve been feeling super jittery, sleepy, my breasts are tender, and I’m even getting occasional nausea... kind of feels like when I was pregnant. I guess, maybe, is this just how progesterone normally acts?
I'm 30 now, so I've become really interested in tracking ovulation since I started measuring my basal temperature this cycle. A few months back, I actually picked up one of those Maybe Baby microscopes, but I only caught an ovulation window once—and of course, that was right when my husband was away on a trip 😢 I guess I'm not entirely sure how reliable it all is, though. Anyway, I just took my last dose of Clomiphene today, so I'll just see what happens with my BT readings.
Yeah, I actually asked about the semen analysis too. My OB-GYN mentioned we probably don't need one since we already have a little one, but we went ahead and did it privately anyway just to be sure. Everything came back looking good, so I guess we'll just see what happens next.
That sounds totally wild. My OBGYN is feeling really positive about things, especially since I already have one kid. I’m a little nervous, I guess, but hey, one step at a time!
Even though I have some symptoms, I don't actually have PCOS. My hormones look fine and my ultrasounds are totally normal. I just started tracking my basal body temperature recently, since I haven't really done much until now. I guess we'll just see how things go from here.
I was mainly wondering if anyone had any experiences using Clomiphene.
I have a two-and-a-half-year-old, but we’ve been trying for another one for over a year now with no luck. My cycles are usually super long and really irregular, though I did manage to get pregnant once before without much trouble—it was almost unplanned, actually. This time, it just feels like things aren't lining up at all!
My OBGYN just prescribed Clomiphene. I was wondering if anyone has experience with it? Did it work for you, and if so, how many cycles did it take before you finally conceived?
Thanks so much for any help!
Maybe it's just because it's your second one, assuming you haven't had sex before, I guess.

About three weeks ago, I had my period just like usual, lasting about 7 days, though the flow was lighter than what I normally get. Then, two weeks later, I had some light spotting again—mostly brownish rather than red—which lasted for maybe five days.
I don't want to panic or rush to the doctor right away, but I am a little confused.
I ended up seeing my OBGYN because things wouldn't stop. They put me on some hormone pills—like birth control, but I'm taking them a bit differently than you would for contraception—and I have a follow-up in 6 weeks.
I'm 30, so I guess it might be a little too early.🙂
Thanks, I think I feel the same way too. It just feels like things are starting up again, so if it doesn't settle down soon, I guess I'll go see my OB-GYN.
