Best offshore sportsbooks for online betting? in Betting Forum ·
redmarlin8 said:Yeah, that’s probably the case. For some reason, they won't let me use any other method, so what's the point of keeping it there if it doesn't work? I'm stuck because I don't have any other cards from their selection.

Just use Skrill Moneybookers or Neteller.

Take a look at how much online betting at foreign bookies is actually allowed.☕

Video games are legal (even if they ruin lives and cause massive addiction), and Paysafecard vouchers work for them. The issue is that the sportsbook itself is illegal, and currently, the voucher isn't working. That has nothing to do with which currency was used to buy it.
In America, we use the Dollar, and everything is handled in Dollars (except maybe some specific tolls). You can't just walk into a Western Union and send or receive Euros or other currencies easily; you deal in Dollars.

The exchange rate sucks because you have to cover the margin for voucher dealers, taxes, and whatnot, but every way you move money comes with a fee, including Paysafecard.
Their website has a currency calculator, so you can easily see which currencies you can deposit using your Dollar voucher when dealing with a merchant that accepts Paysafecard.🙂

If someone managed to use a voucher at a sportsbook before, that was during the early days. As of now, it’s prohibited.
Once we fully integrate further, these issues should vanish. It's like how Germany tried to ban betting and failed miserably.
Aside from the US, which is its own special case, only places like France, Germany, and Denmark have certain restrictions on online betting, and even then, it only affects a tiny handful of sportsbooks.

It's not banned; Paysafecard works perfectly fine on William Hill and all the others. The bottleneck happened because the vouchers were issued in one currency while people had accounts set up in another. By Monday, things should be back up and running on Bet365. Contact info@paysafecard.com and you'll see that everything is under control and being sorted out. These companies are just starting to scale their operations in the US; give them some time to get their act together.

As for that Law of the United States you posted, I don't see anything in there stating that online betting is prohibited.

Online betting isn't banned here in the States,
Paysafecard just recently kicked things off in America, but since their cards are issued in Dollars while the rest of the world uses Euros, it’s created a massive headache for online bookies.

I read on another site that William Hill is already accepting Paysafecard in Dollars, and Bet365 should be following suit any day now. Some people have already reached out to Bet365 support and were told they’ll have this sorted out within a few days, if they haven't already.

Available in denominations of $50, $100, $200, and $500. Note that these aren't in Euros.

Anyone here have any experience with them?

Look, Bwin is basically a playground for beginners and amateurs. Sure, the graphics are slick and the site is well-designed, but don't get too comfortable. If you start hitting big wins with significant stakes, they’ll limit your betting options faster than you can blink.

In my book, Bet365 is the sweet spot for those of us sitting right on the fence between amateur and pro. If you're a serious professional moving heavy volume, stick with Pinnacle or Canbet. But if your game is centered around Asian handicaps, you won't find better odds than what's at 188bet or 12bet.

It’s a safe bet our local bookmakers won't allow higher stakes, and pulling cash out will become a massive headache if they force everyone to use physical betting shops instead. If that happens, we might just have to pack up and move to a place where this stuff is actually legal.😁

Neteller issues plastic Mastercard cards to its members. With one of those, you have a direct link to your online bookie—completely bypassing American banks and the tax man!
The US is almost on the list of countries where Neteller provides accounts for citizens. It's a service similar to Moneybookers; you can find more details about Neteller here.

Also, Moneybookers issues a Mastercard linked directly to your MB account, though currently, it's mostly for EU citizens. Since the US is aligning more with international standards, Moneybookers should be rolling this option out to Americans soon enough.

There’s a third option called Entropay. They also issue Mastercards, but very few online bookies accept them—maybe three or four decent ones at most.
